NFL draft RB 40 times by year. NFL only lists the top 10 per year. There is no info on NFL.com for years prior to '06. *You can search online for years prior to '06 but you get a lot of unofficial "official" times. A lot of these guys are 6' and 215+

    2004 Jackson 4.45, Kevin Jones 4.38

In a chise with my buddies I got a guy like that in the 3rd or 4th round. Total beast. I just wish he was a bit faster. 88 speed is ideal for a power back in my eyes

Drafted a WR in the third round. Ended up being an 80 overall with 93 speed. He has 85 catching and is decent at route running and release. He's leading my team (Jags) in TDs with 5 through 7 games and is on track to get 80 catches, 1200 yards and 12-14 TDs. What is nuts is that I drafted a receiver in the first round who was an 81 with 94 speed and 96 jumping at 6'2 and together with Allen Robinson who was an 81 I think and Julius Thomas my passing game is darn good.

Also got a 78 overall MLB with 88 speed on the 4th. He's a monster.

My first draft was a draft to remember.

4 player CFM Fantasy Draft. After making some deals I ended up with 3 1st round picks.

5th pick: CB J.J. Bowles 79 OVR, 96 SPD, 93 ACC, 85+ MC and ZC, Superstar
24th-ish pick (I'll upload his photo later): LOLB Farrington Cates 87 OVR, 87 SPD, 90 ACC, 85+ TCK and HP, Normal, #1 overall true talent.
3rd Round: LOLB Edmund Starks, 81 OVR, Superstar
4th Rd: DT Nate Daniels, 77 OVR, Superstar

Got a story that said a QB was a pitcher only a few weeks ago but he is projected to go early in the first true talent wise. Does this mean he will peobably have lower ratings or low development speed? Anyone see this story before?

I don't want to draft a WR to move to HB because you don't typically see that happen in the NFL. Some guys will make the switch, but they were usually already a RB/WR type in college. I have thought of moving Cordaralle Patterson to RB (I believe you mentioned this in another thread) but I hope that I can find a faster RB in the draft than his 90 speed. Tavon Austin is another I thought of moving, but he is so small it's not really realistic. I may move him to RB to use him like a Dexter McCluster (but line him up in the slot a lot more). Still debating

Looking at it now though, I guess there aren't a whole lot of speed RBs in the NFL anyway. This past combine Langford ran the fastest 40 with 4.42 (which translated to 92 speed). Only 2 others ran faster than 4.5 (and only by .02 and .01 of a second). I suppose the draft classes aren't terrible at looking like an actual NFL draft. Hopefully my first draft was a bit of a fluke and I'll find some faster guys in this one.

EDIT: Here's a chart to help anyone looking for a speed back

Saw this in another thread and it used it in that exact same way. Makes it easy when you know what the combine numbers translate to.

Guys, two questions... Im in a 10 man CFM just to be clear (i feel like i have to say that every time in this thread) How do you guys feel about switching a WR to RB if he has 93-94 Spd? obviously this would be for superstar trait purposes solely.

How do you guys feel about switching a DT/Defensive End to MLB if he has decent speed, more like a Pernell McPhee Jack in the box (arena football) type of player that you can build up next to a coverage backer in the 3-4.

I play in a similar CFM (16-18 user) and I am not a fan of WR to HB switches typically because of ball carry skills.

I moved McPhee to DE but if you're running a 4-3 I can see a point to moving him inside since he's just short of 300 lbs.

Im loving having MCPhee at MLB, the run is non existent on the inside, Draw plays are destroyed as well so thats why i was considering it.

Are you guys scouting these 6th round guys to get steals or are the players just dropping in those spots?
