Get through the intro or skip it, after that, pause and go to Super Sim. On the lower left hand side, there's an indicator telling you to hit x to change Sim speeds. Change it to slow. Then go to where you can pick play to end of game and then you have CPU vs. CPU.

It's actually way easier and faster then it sounds.

I'm at work, but I will add a CPU vs. CPU sliders post in the appropriate section in the next few days. It takes a bit to get it right."

lord!!!! really, we can't just put one controller in the middle like the old days and just hit play??? Folks, i'm just saying, still sounds like a lot of inconvenient workarounds here for CPU vs CPU 32 Team offline and control...I will wait to see more hands on from people here before I buy for sure.....
It's really not, but I'd play it first before judging. I'm enjoying it as CPU vs. CPU fanatic.

        yes to your question.

I haven't messed with it to much but sometimes I can watch the opening kickoff & most times it sims it. I Think I am not putting it on "slow" quick enough.

Also The CPU vs CPU worked the same in Coach or Owner team control.

I just don't earn XP fot the away team(I always controll home team) so I only have 1 controller going. So to the 2 controller guy:The games saves when you finish the game/you turn both controllers off??? Because when I tried XP for both teams and let/turn the controller off Madden will not let me save the game.

You don't have to have 2 controllers to do cpu vs cpu. I'm watching the Bengals vs Steelers right now. Both are user controlled. As soon as the game starts just go to super sim, put it on slow, then go to jump forward, then go to end of game. Voila! Cpu vs cpu in broadcast game. Also injuries and penalties are in as well. Along with uniform degradation.

Awesome! Been doing CPU vs CPU since the very beginning. And by that I mean since madden football was on the Sega Genesis. Glad they put it back in! So pumped now!

You're welcome buddy. I have the 10 hour trial from ea access. This is the first thing I tried when I downloaded the game.

Re: CPU vs CPU is back for Franchise Mode

Lets say I want to watch or play a different team each week. Don't want to sign, fire, trade players, etc. All i want to do is play/sim the games.

I'd need to create 32 coaches or owners, set all 32 to be CPU controlled, then within the menu, chose the team I want to play...this is correct?

Also, not a make or break for me..but will the ticker not show any scores during the game of other games being played at the same time SINCE i have "control" of all the teams.

Sorry if this is confusing..just curious.

I'll definitely try this tomorrow after work. Hope you get an answer before then. If not, I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

                          Correct.

For the ticker, you need to super sim the games you want to play for them to show.

For example, lets say I want to play the Cowboys vs. Raiders at 1:00 pm and I want Redskins v. Giants (also at 1pm) to show on the ticker.

I need to start Redskins/Giants like I'm going to play that game.
Supersim that game until the end (takes 3-5 minutes).
                          Exit that game.

When I play the Cowboys game, the Skins game will be on the ticker and it will appear as if the game is going on while I'm playing. So if the Cowboys game is in the 1st quarter...so will the Skins game.

What is the process of super simming games? Havent had a Madden in a long time...do i have to actually go into the game and supersim? Can I just supersim from the menu?

Never mind..sorry, just re-read your post and the process was clearly presented. Ha.

There's no way to just "sim" games from the menu as in olden days?
