Re: Cfm drafts where almost all players suck?
I have had no problem adjusting the sliders to achieve a realistic run game post patch. It is, in fact, much better (visually and realistically) than it was previously.
The only reason it seems "harder" post patch is because they fixed the atrocious pursuit angles by LBs and S that were present previously. It is the best thing the patch addressed and successfully rectified.Comment

If you say so.

Only if you crank them to max, and auto upgrade, something people tend to conveniently ignore to suit their point of view.

Re: Cfm drafts where almost all players suck?
Yeah Ive seen this post patch.
Year 4 of my Steelers fantasy draft franchise. Ive looked at all the rookies coming out over the last 3 years. And there are maybe 6 players in the entire league, over 3 years of drafts that are superstar or quick development, and anything over 80 OVR.Comment

Re: Cfm drafts where almost all players suck?
Do the newly rated draft classes come from the recent patch?
Asking because I was told my existing offline cfm would get the updates,
However the draft I did last night my picks were 78, 77, 78, 75, 75, 70, 77, 68 (roughly)
Doesn't sound like this is the new draft class ratings???Comment

BUT, when you look at the guys the CPU grabbed it's 78, 68, 56, 65, 66, 70, 62.
By year three you will always have the most kick *** roster in the NFL.Don't look back too long and don't look too far ahead.Comment

Re: Cfm drafts where almost all players suck?
Exactly. Most of the people here saying this, HAVE played several seasons, that is why they are saying it is ruining the balance more than it is helping it. Look I'm sorry, I am not trying to force my playstyle on everybody else, but the nerf was wrong. I don't mind increased difficulty when it makes since and it is not over done, but here, it just does not make since except to a small group of people. You know l there are certain points where majority does need to rule.

More whining out of you the past week then everyone else combined.
You're the "small group of people" on this issue. If you believe majority should rule then shut up about it already.

Re: Cfm drafts where almost all players suck?
People's incessant complaining, causing them to unnecessarily nerf draft classes, making the running game unnecessarily harder, and constantly screwing with the deep passing game ever since madden 16, is dictating my playing experience. Especially now considering the fact that I have the digital version, and I can't even delete the patch, Because the digital versions game data comes pre-updated to the current version which means even if I delete it and reinstall it, I'm forced to play with the patch.
I'm just getting tired of people's incessant complaining about "realism" in a video game, a work of fiction.
The fact of the matter is this game isn't exactly like NBA 2k's my league, and while franchise mode is obviously better than it has been in a few years, there is still not a whole lot of user control outside of the typical gameplay sliders, and now being able to freely edit players.
If Madden's developers are going to do things like this then they need to either stop forcing people to play with the patches if you have the digital version, and you know just in general, and add more sliders so that the user can have more control, that way if people don't want to play with unnecessarily nerfed draft classes, they don't have to, and they need to make the gameplay sliders work better, because if the sliders and ratings matter, then I shouldn't have a hard time running the ball, with my 99 overall HB, with mid to upper 90s individual ratings across the board, period.
1. this is why is just one of the reasons i don't do digital versions of games.
2. you're right, it is a game. we can't expect everything. i'm just not sure they did this because of "incessant complaining". they decided to match or re-adjust the draft classes to the rosters in terms of ratings.
not sure this is having your game play being dictated by others but i'm sorry you don't like it.Comment

Re: Cfm drafts where almost all players suck?
Look, I can completely respect that this place primarily is about sim play, but the problem is that, for past few years, they have been listening more to what people here are saying, then everybody else. EA needs to listen to everybody, and stop changing things just because a handful of people complain about it

You've got to be freaking kidding me, my dude. Some aspects of this game has been nerfed so badly after the latest patch (take FG difficulty for example) because of online play whiners that sim play is extremely difficult to achieve.Originally posted by Da_CzarDon't play video games, play basketball.Comment

Ha Ha, ok my friend. You must not post or read very many other places except here on operation sports, if you honestly believe that. I already acknowledged that here, on operation sports, I am in the minority, but overall, I'm part of the larger portion of the player base, who doesn't buy into this whole "it needs to be harder to be realistic" thing.
You guys could have tweaked the xp sliders, and not auto upgraded, if you wanted to keep your players ratings down. I love it how the other people should have to edit their players and traits to get their players how they want them, but you guys shouldn't have to. Seems to me that there is a bit of a double standard here.

Re: Cfm drafts where almost all players suck?
It relates in the sense that as a user we are naturally better roster managers, get more XP usually and apply it better. The end result is us having teams in the mid 80s minimal and possibly 90s overall while the vast majority of the cpu teams are in the 70s. It's a real issue that not many are talking about yet but I'm sure as more people advance in their franchises they will notice. I like the new classes btw but after playing a bunch of season it's clear that the CPU teams become horrible. XP sliders are fine but the human player gets too much of a boost with those. Balance is a huge issue the further you get, especially if you are playing your games.
