if they did drop cfm enhancements a dlc, I would not buy. I just would see it would become a trend and they would continue to nickel and dime cfm dlc enhancements every year if people bought it

They don't deserve to get anymore of my money. I am done with Madden as a whole. Since Madden 2000 I have been robbed $60 by EA and have bought their garbage game they call football. As much as I would love to have a CFM that has depth and is worth playing, I know as long as EA has a hold of the rights it will be a broken mess with zero creativity. At this point I would just like to see some game play that is worth a damn. It blows my mind that someone at EA is actually ok with the releasing of this broken piece of garbage year after year with the exact same glitches and bugs from 2-3 years ago.

I'm on the fence. Pretty much every product have different priced versions. Like a car with more features or a cpu or a house.

You pay more money for better versions.

I'm not sure about paying more for CFM features though. Franchise mode is supposed to be a standard feature. If they have time to added features that I would have to pay more for then why not make it standard.

I'm just not sure what could be added that would be worth paying for above what should be standard.

Like in MUT you can play the mode without ever spending more money. But you have the choice to buy packs and have a better team faster.

That model would ruin CFM.

So what exactly would these "features" be?

Just think if all those *years* spent on making an hour and half long movie that no one asked for..

Were actually spent on developing a fresh new Franchise mode to be debuted with Frostbite, and MUT Squads, etc.

While also working on CPU AI.

I dunno. Seemed like a waste of time to me.

I would not. At this point the only modes I play are Play Now and Franchise. I don't really touch MUT or even play head to head online except maybe once a season. So realistically I am already paying for modes I don't touch.

So I would not pay for it. And if they decided to drop Franchise all together I would no longer buy the game.

I stopped buying Madden during the PS3 days because I did not like the gameplay at all up until the last one that was made only for PS3. So I think I went 5 years or so without buying it. So basically while I enjoy the game and look forward to it, but if I felt like it was to the point where it was that bad or they were charging extra for things that used to be standard I would take my money elsewhere.

I agree, it was an enormous waste of resources.

Funny thing is they took a dev off of franchise to work on NBA live, then you read all the reviews and they all say the same thing:

"A good base to work on for coming years."

Wait? They have been saying that about madden since 2000. So basically they released a half baked NBA Live and Madden 18.

I think its kinda sad that we pay for this game and have to spend hours tweaking it to act right with sliders and such. EA should pay us a little!


I would not pay more to get back features we once had in CFM, if they came out with something ground breaking, then I'd think about it.




For me the issues are the in game bugs that never get addressed, CFM could use some work, but its tolerable for me.

here is my thing, 2k can do a stand up job on their franchise mode and blow things out of the water( yes i know some one will say but not for online) , However even if that part is not fully online , madden does not even compare online or offline, nothing , period. Also the whole " short dev cycle " is clearly an excuse they use to not do as much, last i checked 2K has same amount of dev time. And , im not talking about this year, in talking about last years " focus on franchise and most resources ever" ... look at what little that did for CFM and look at what 2k did in a year.... Its not a matter of them needing more money.They could do it, they just dont.

This X 1,000. The excuses are worn out, we've heard the same song and dance year after year after year until somehow, enough people have bought into it and thus lowered their standards.
The fact is EA could do whatever they want...and this is what they've done.
Cut corners at every turn, half assed new "features" while never fleshing them out. Made outlandish statements regarding the lack of progress in the game.
All you have to do is look at the other major sports titles...hell, even FIFA kicks Madden's *** yearly now.
And here we are, listening to the same mind numbing excuses, and some people are still defending them?? That's the definition of Insanity...nothing will ever change if we don't force their hand by not buying the latest Madden # every year.
