I’d recommend copying and pasting tbh. The excel version is better as there’s some stuff I can’t achieve in sheets.

First and foremost, this is an awesome tool and salute to all those that contributed.


When I try to sort or filter on the "Your Draft Board" tab it doesn't allow me to do so. I'm trying to filter to the ones who I haven't yet scouted the last trait, and sort in order of TRV but it doesn't allow me to do so. Is there something I need to do to be able to do these two things?

Have you downloaded the latest version (7.1)? If you’re on 7.0, you’ll need to unprotect the sheet (the review tab in excel) because I’m a dunce and didn’t allow sorting when I protected it for 7.0.

My laptop is on its last legs, and needs to be replaced anyway, but this tool might just put me over the edge on making it happen. Running Office 2010 and hating that the player breakdowns aren't functional.

Not sure what's happening but I've put all the draftees in my scouting tool along with their combine numbers, etc. When I go to the Individual Scouting Reports tab it shows "Name?" in the "Strengths" and "Weaknesses" boxes.

See screenshot. This is using the latest 7.1 version.

I have Excel 2016 (not online version).

Nevermind, something isn't right with my Excel, I reinstalled and works fine now.

Yeah it relies on the TEXTJOIN function. I might be able to achieve the same thing with concatenate now I think about it, but which would help compatibility with older versions of excel... I’ll try and sort that for 7.2.

Version 7.1 of the tool released.

This new bug fix version sorts out all the known bugs so far, including the sorting problems and the locked cells on the Draft Planner.

I've also released a Sheets-optimised version of the tool that removes the issues around data validation on archetype, and generally improves the tool's aesthetics and usability in Wannabe-Excel.

loved the previous versions and appreciate the time it has to take to do all this!!

Nate I've experienced a head scratching aspect of this tool and not sure if this is just an oversight or not. When one of my players has a great senior bowl game and I give him that draft story, it actually lowers his TVR rating and his ranking. I tested it also by giving him Senior Bowl MVP and it does the same thing.

Granted it doesn't lower it much, but that doesn't seem right cause why would a player having a great senior bowl game make his draft stock go down?

Look at the dev %s. Sometimes a positive story is actually a bad thing for a blue chipper because while his odds of normal go down, so might his odds of star and superstar. That lowers his value, though arguably lowers the risk too.

Nate, is there a reason you didn't include the conversion chart for combine/grades to projected overall in the tool this year? is the conversion chart for last year still accurate?

This is seriously the single most immersive addition to Madden franchise in its history. They tried something similar in '04 or thereabouts, and it was cool but thin. This is friggin' fantastic.
