More like a year. That’s what I did with 22 and I’m liking it no major complaints

When I went back to play 22 back in March or April the gameplay was really good.

But I got 23 because I'm not as patient as some of you.

Having said that 23 is pretty fun despite its flaws and I'll play it right up til NCAA release

It'll probably be hindsight revealing that the new passing mechanic should have been added to another mode only - competitive, I would assume. Their coding being in all modes across the board (I think it's that way, correct me if wrong) makes me further assume that every tweak made affects them both, and so it'll be a crapshoot back and forth this season finding the right balance. It sounds hilarious, but I really, really like the game aside from the crashing at random, OP interceptions and the momentum meter (which I still contend belongs in only the arcade mode, actually).

Can someone more familiar with How EA communicates given a guess on if “stability issues” might mean they fixed the draft bug? Putting in 6 hours tonight of a full season draft and a week 1 game just to get bumped back again would be beyond frustrating.

The Madden team better start stepping up to the plate. These new games that starting to come out are starting to push the envelope. Example NBA2k23 and its MyEra, even the slight omissions is still ground breaking. Gamers are not going to settle for a game priced 70 dollars or to wait 2 months to play. Let alone it just roster and cosmetic update from the year before. Quite a few racing titles coming out next year are slowly pushing me from this title.

My main focus is franchise scouting, I have a thread entirely made to help people get star or superstar players and draft well.


I sim every game with different schemes going over stats every game, make every trade on a rebuild, news cycle, coach and development updates, go through the entire draft class front to back multiple times and take my time in FA. My method takes about an hour initially, plus another 30-45 to check, FA 45 min, etc..

A full season to training camp takes roughly 5-6 hours plus notes. Sometimes I start “playing like with this team in season 2. It is a total waste of time if this then leads to another draft glitch.

Until there is a competitor sim football game with NFL licenses (which can't happen bc of EA) the Madden Team has nothing to worry about. The game has been getting worse for over a decade and it's still one of the most successful video games every year. Football is overwhelmingly the most popular sport in the US, nothing else comes anywhere close. As long as its the only football game that depicts NFL football (even horribly) people will still buy it.

That is the problem, people will continue to buy it. The game has some flaws, but it really the lack of innovation that is losing me. It is the same game since 2006 with features that disappear only to reappear with a new name. SMH.

Stability issues usually refer to a few things in my experience:

Fixing server disconnects.
Fixing crashing in a mode. Refers to crashing at the end of a game in offline modes of something similar for example.
Fixing online modes so credit and rewards are given.


I haven't experienced this draft glitch but highly unlikely it is referring to that. I have experienced the corrupted save file glitch and also unlikely it is referring to that.

For me I’ve enjoyed playing it and really like the new animations and throwing but every year it seems like one step forward and one step back at the same time. The interceptions kill franchise mode bc not me throwing picks but the cpu throwing 4+ a game no matter how you adjust the sliders. It’s really the small things that they can’t seem to figure out that ruin in. Those small details that easily make it frustrating.

The blame is on the NFL not Madden for the exclusivity. Not many companies would turn down an exclusive deal for the countries biggest sport. The NFL has allowed this game to degrade for a long time as to the technology available compared to what is in the game without taking that license away.
