Re: Madden NFL 23 Patch #3 Available – Patch Notes
It seems like trading during the draft is what triggers the draft reset glitch. I haven't encountered it yet and I can confirm I haven't traded in the draft (too easy to cheese the CPU by trading down - even if I know I can take the player I want later I take whichever player is highest on my board. I'm also rarely in a spot to trade up).Comment

Re: Madden NFL 23 Patch #3 Available – Patch Notes
The Jets really went for the avant-garde look with their new alternate helmets.
I've only been able to play a few quarters since the patch dropped but the interception issue being fixed and the athleticism/reaction time of the defense being toned down is quite noticeable. Also, HUM pass rush is back to where it was in the beta and OOTB. I'm getting much more pressure than I was the last several weeks.
It sucks that the game seems (relatively) solid on the field now but franchise is such a disaster. There's a lot to read through but can someone tell me if the franchise reset glitch only happens with online franchises?
My test CFM the last two months has been an online Jets franchise and I had two games in Year 1 not record/register.Last edited by ehh; 10-14-2022, 08:43 AM."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Question, and this probably does nothing...but do you guys do Autosave, or Manual? Do you create a separate save after the draft is over separate from the Autosave? If so does it still revert back to the draft?"Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

Don't forget you must control all 32 teams i.e. have 32 characters created. Otherwise there will still be coach firings regardless of the ON/OFF selection. And too many coach firings/retirements triggers a crash eventually.
You can of course put league Settings on so that 31 teams manage themselves in Auto and you just look after one team properly.
I just turned off coach firing and won't use custom classes to be safe.

Re: Madden NFL 23 Patch #3 Available – Patch Notes
Impressions after update:
1. Interception slider definitely works now. I’m slowly increasing it from zero to get to a reasonable point.
2. CPU RB appears to be more aggressive. Especially when it comes to cutbacks to exploit open lanes. I’m going to do some ratings tests because if what has changed is what I’m thinking has changed, the RBs can have unique personalities based on which evasion technique has a high rating, I.e I hope all RBs aren’t tuned to just aggressively cutback, I’m hoping it’s tuned to ratings so if there’s a high truck rating they’ll truck more often.
3. Fatigue appears to have been tuned. I have fatigue slider at 70 and noticed more rotation with CPU RBs than before the update.
4. CPU QB Acc is better. When I say better I mean more errant throws to empty places on the field (my CPU QB slider is set to 40 by the way).
5. Observed some amazing Dline play here and there as the CPU D line crashed down on running plays.
6. DB / WR play seems to be more smooth. More swats, etc.
7. I’m noticing speed threshold having more visual effect as far as pursuit.
This is only two games in. I didn’t really notice too many major issues before the update, so for me to notice these things, they definitely did a good job. Will report back as I go.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 23 Patch #3 Available – Patch Notes
Played a couple of Play Now games vs the cpu on All Pro post patch. The game play is even better, pass blocking is better, run blocking is better, Id say run blocking is probably OP on All Pro or maybe its because I'm using Dallas.
I didn't notice any missed pass blocks, defenders push the offensive line into the backfield making the pocket tight, DBs go for the swat more, tackling seems better, but the very end of some tackle animations are jerky. More fumbles, they've tuned up fumbles which is good. Im very pleased with the gameplay. I will go ahead and begin my Offline Franchise now.
I really hope they overhaul presentation next year.Xbox Series X: KILLMUNGERComment

I don't want to derail into sliders here, but just to detail, I agree that they tuned sliders all around. I tried out their claim of 95 speed threshold being NFL accurate, and just dropping down to 84 made a very noticeable (and for me) manageable difference to playing the game.(...brought to you by Carl's Jr.)Comment

Re: Madden NFL 23 Patch #3 Available – Patch Notes
just finished up my first game on pure all pro default and i gotta say it played pretty well. I threw 0 pics, cpu threw 3 (all in the second half, 1 of them was a 50/50 ball, 1 was a jumped route and the last was just an extremely odd play so i really don’t count it). they took a late lead with 56 seconds left and i ended up driving to kick a game winning fg to win it 29-27 against the jaguars.
things i’ve noticed:
- CPU QB (trevor lawrence) was more efficient, made less bad reads
- CPU RB seemed more aware of the holes and made more of an effort running the ball
- USER running seemed way more difficult
- lots of swatted passes which would’ve been interceptions previously
- i did not have any issues with receivers not attacking the ball and allowing the defense to pick it off
- pass rush was intense while i was on offense

Got a half in and the play is way better. First off, much better CB play and more swatting. Not looking for zero picks but the superhuman CB picking everything in the vicinity is tamed. Still don't know how you can release a game with a broken slider.
Saw some more diverse injuries to wr and lb's.
The graphics look better to me as well. Not sure if they did something there but looks crisper.
QB play is more varied. When I test, I like to see less-than-average QB's play. Saw some bad reads, overthrows etc.
Clearly, EA did some major work on this and its a good start.Comment
