Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)
To further praise these sliders a bit:
Week 1 against Texans was a blowout...I debuted a new pro style old school playbook I made (because no one runs the safe play action west coast anymore ???) and raked in 61 pts to win the game
Week 2 we lost to the Rams after some key turnovers and never being able to run the ball thanks to clay Matthews and Aaron Donald, I won’t even mention the 6 sacks (had none week 1)
Loving the diversity!

Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)
Here's something interesting when thinking about scoring and sliders. Everyone, including me, has looked at how high the scoring is in the game. Funny thing is the NFL average last year was somewhere around 48 points per game total. I am keeping that in mind now when looking at scoring. The game isn't that far off from that now.
except its 48 points combined for both teams. meaning its about 24 points per game for each team.
however im scoring around 48 points regularly with my own team, so i wouldnt say its "not that far off" lol
while teams like the chiefs and rams last year scored regularly in the 30's and 40's they also have incredibly talented and dynamic offenses. Which is something thats not currently necessary to have in this game to achieve that.Comment

Didn’t mean to make ya think I was talking about your post personally, sorry about that.
I was just meaning as a whole I don’t think most are that far off as an average. The thing I am wanting more than anything is for teams that are supposed to lose, lose. For instance, no way Dolphins in their current state beats say the Rams by 14 points on a consistent basis. They may get lucky if a lot of turnovers on an occasion.
The game is great and I do think it’s closer to finding a happy medium than ever before. It also comes down to each person’s own skill in game and what feels best for them.
Plus, I tend to understand that this is a video game and it’s not going to have perfect AI. So I play to that and make sure not to abuse it, if that makes sense

however i have had some luck with keeping on heatseak
first half of game no heatseak (pats v dolphins) 30-28
2nd half (turning on heatseak) game ended 37-31
if i can get a few games to play the same way that second half played, i'd be happy.Comment

Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)
No that shouldn't happen at all. Maybe a couple of plays, but not the whole game. It's almost like each setting, All-Pro or All-Madden, is too far one way or the other.Comment

Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)
Will turning off injuries have a big impact on your sliders? I'm so tired of getting to the playoffs every year and losing my starting QB, RB, and best WR. Also tired of the CPU QBs getting injured far too often."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

What if I were to keep these settings but change it to All Madden?Comment

Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)
still having a huge issue with fumbles....seeing at minimum 5 per game and its turning every game into a blowout bc of field position...
any idea to fix? trying to limit using the hit stick but sometimes the CPU does it without me controlling it.
besides fumbles, these sliders are amazing!!!Comment

Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)
Have you experimented with this in MM and FRANCHISE ? Are you noticing any difference or better results having it on or off in one or the other?
I am wondering Josh’s thoughts on this. There do seem to be far more offensive games than defensiveComment

Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)
So I asked in a previous post if anybody had any recommendations on a “realistic“ draft class available on Xbox for download… I’ve done some research and decided to share my findings...
Although I have not played through with either of these. I have found these two to be the most comparable to an EA made draft class
The following is an example of what an EA draft class looks like by round. Also it is the basis of how I compared the two that I have chosen. At the end of this are the two file names that are most similar to these findings
Round one high and mid 60s to high 70s
Round two mid and low 60s to low 70s
Round three high 50s to low 70s
Round four mid 50s to high 60s
Round five low 50s to mid 60s
Round six low 50s to low 60s
Round seven low 50s to low 60
File name OS2020ICONIC is realistic (most comparable with EA) with mixed in late round gems. This one has just over 600 downloads
File name USFL2020 is balanced (players values seem to be a bit higher overall than EA throughout) but not as many late round gems. This one has over 7000 downloads
Both of these classes have 4 first-round quarterbacks they’re all similarly rated with similar Dev traits… I decided to cheat and look at that since I use the Browns and have no interest in drafting a quarterback. But wanted to use it as a comparable factor between the two. But it just made them that much more even
Sidenote I also tested TFG’s draft class but his ratings are set to his rosters which are way too low if you use stock EA rosters for your franchiseLast edited by EvilElf; 08-11-2019, 09:47 PM.Comment

Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)
My guess is that turning off the injury toggle will make them play 'soft'...as in easy 'soft'....but give it a shot.
I wasn't a fan. If going All Madden - I'd take a gander at Raider Ren's setup.

If you're fumbling too much, stop spinning in traffic, use R1, use the coach adjustment and stay away from X-factors with the enforcer trait. Easy as pie.
Once I get into Year 2 - that's when the real assessment begins for me (Year 1 is basically the worst in franchise). I expect the games to be much cleaner and more defensive-oriented in year 2. If I see issues there, then I will consider other changes....but not now. (I'm already at the playoff stage for Year 1 FWIW....)Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)
Is there anything that can be done about the CPU QB just going backwards when facing pressure in the pocket?
This is probably the only thing keeping me from enjoying the game at its fullest at this point. Loving these sliders.Comment
