Yeah sure it is with Tuck, Osi, Straham, Cofield and Kiwanuka bareling down on you.

As for Viniatari, he has gone on to win ANOTHER Superbowl with the Colts. Since his departure Brady has not won the Superbowl.
Really I did not know that. Is not like we have been to another Super Bowl without him either.

You're just dogging your defense to make Tom look good. They were an outstanding unit during those SB runs, and slammed the door on some very good teams.
I never said that they never stopped anyone, all I said is that the games we lost in the post season were mostly their fault. For the exemption of the loss to the Broncos in 2005 which was our offense that cost us the game.

He had very little playing time, and had not started a game since high school. And guess what, his numbers were very similar (and in stretches better) than Tom's were during that 2001 season.
Yes you are right their numbers were similar I have looked at them plenty of times but you know what is not similar? Moss, Welker, Maroney, Watson, Faulk, Maroney, Light, Mankins, Koppen, Neal. Do you even know who were Brady's weapons in 2001? Troy Brown, Patrick Pass, terry Glenn, Antowain Smith, Faulk. You are right how could Brady not perform better than a back up with such fire power compared to Cassel.

Face it, dude. It's the system, not Tom. It's Bellicheck and his staff. Not Tom. Tom was just in the right place at the right time with the right butt-chin to make the 12 year old girls swoon.
Last I check "chuck it to Moss" is not a system. Please enlighten me as to why the Raiders had the worst offense in NFL history when they could have employed the magical "chuck it to Moss" system?

He needed Moss to put up those huge numbers and go 16-0 in the regular season. He did not need Randy to win a SB. Why? Because the TEAM won those Super bowls, not Tom.
Yes we did go undefeated in the regular season thanks in part to Moss, do you think that is news to anyone? Did Manning score 49 TDs because he had scrubs at wr? No he had Wayne, Harrison, Stockley and James. Nobody can break records without help, look at LaDainian Tomlinson when he broke the RB scoring record, nearly half of his team went to the Pro Bowl. Brady was a large part as to why we won the Super Bowls, I don't recall saying he was the only reason why we did.

Vick should drop 2 points after a 2 year layoff right. Since Brady dropped 1 for 1 year layoff.

Brady 98 is a gross oversight. Its no longer about the ratings. Its about the positional and overall ranking.

I feel that judging from the previous seasons, with the last season having the most influence, and previous seasons b4 that slightly less important, (Like tennis APT rankings) Brees deserves to be 2nd with 97, and brady at 96.

        Its huge.

Not even Rafael Nadal could take a year off, and remain number 2.

                Re: Here ya go Ian...

I personally think ratings should be judged depending on how the players play on the field and not what kind of surgery they had in the off-season. Brady deserves a 98 rating and should stay that way until he shows he doesn't deserve it. So yea, keep it at a 98 until the regular season starts and if he plays bad then, then you can decrease his rating. I think it's ridiculous to say Brady should be a 94 just because he tore a couple of ligaments in his knee and people aren't sold on if he'll be the same. Did people forget he just had the best season for a quarterback in NFL History during the 2007 season?

You're just dogging your defense to make Tom look good. They were an outstanding unit during those SB runs, and slammed the door on some very good teams.

In what superbowl did joe montana have a comeback which he started with 35 seconds left in the game? And scored a touchdown. oh ya and he kind of had some pretty good wide recievers the last time i checked rice and taylor hmm but i guess montana is a system qb also lmao.

                      Brady's THP???

I'm not going to fuss too much over Brady's overall, but let me kick the dead horse one more time on the throwing power. I never understood how Brady's arm strength was rated at a 92 for as long as I can remember then all of a sudden jumps to a 99 in Madden 09. Manning didn't go from 96 to 99 after his record-breaking 49td season.

I can see a two, maybe three point jump a'la Brees, but a seven point jump in one season is just crazy.

P.S. saw mentioned in an earlier post that it's been dropped to 96. That's still too high in my opinion.

                          Re: The Only Ratings Thread

Would be nice to get the rest of the player ratings, so we could all lobby and complain for higher ratings.

One rating I already disagree with is Dominique Rogers Cromartie only has 94 speed, he is minimum 97 IMO 98.

                          I did disagree with D.Hall's 68 but he is a 77 now.

Basically as a Cowboy fan I have a bias but I still want guys to be fairly and accurately rated. Yes I hate D.Hall and the Redskins, but 68 was a joke, I mean Smoot is a 76 Hall came over stole his job easily. Then filled in well for Carlos Rogers. Also I know how pissed I was when Terence Newman had 95 back in Madden 05,06, (should have been 97 minimum) so if DRC does have 94 I would say all Cards fans have reasons to be pissed.

its a knee injury for god sakes its not like he hurt his throwing arm or anything he should be 98 because thats what he is as a passer i would understand making him slower and stuff like that but not bumping his passing down because he hurt his knee that doesnt make alot of sense.
