    I tried 15 minutes @ 15 second runoff.

After a 55-31 game with the Bengals vs. Saints, I think I'm toning it down to a 14 minute game @ 20 seconds runoff. 15 minutes just feels too long.

3 hours? I'm all for it! But, that's just the type of sim gamer I am!

Yes, because the computer didn't pick plays with 37 seconds left on the play clock and snap the ball with over 20 left . Accel clock, to me, is there to give the computer a fair shot. In years past I could own time of possetion and thus dominate the game on All-Pro. The computer would sometimes even call run-run-pass, complete the pass, and get held to a 3 and out and take up less than 1min of game clock. When in years past and now in the demo, when the computer calls run plays and completes passes it will keep the clock rolling and ware out your D. I look forward to palying franchise mode with 15min quarters and 15sec run off.

Deegeezy, even on 14 min with 25 second clock I still have games where I reach around 70 plays for my team. Its just the way I play. I always dominate the T.O.P. Just last night in one of my games I had a 17 play drive. I rely heavily on short passes and runs here and there.

Would you consider yourself as playing at a slow pace? I.E. Watching cut scenes, taking your time selecting plays, fake-snapping, analyzing the defense pre-snap, etc

^pretty much do all of that except the fake snapping. I probably will lower my acc clock to 20 second, so I have more time to send guys in motion and hot route based on defenses presented.

I think it really depends on someones style/sliders/My skill to determine how many minutes you can use. I got good stats using 15min 25 sec acc but then I was having some high scoring games some was my fault but I had to switch to 12min 15sec acc to get better results. I do think that it is cool that it is possible to get realistic stats and play a full NFL game. You just have to be a patient or have a great defense and a good run game. Otherwise there will be high scoring games.

Is There A Way to get realistic stats with 15 minutes and be able to watch all the cutscenes?

In franchise mode I like to think all my games are real lol and I like to watch all cutscenes and replays just to make the game feel like a broadcast. But I also want a realistic game statwise

Will 15 minutes and accelerated clock do the trick?

I think I'm going to try 12 minutes - 15 seconds for my franchise. I want realistic stats, but still want to finish the game in an hour or less.

Question: Can you change the length of games and the accelerated clock after the franchise has already started?

I have a question, because in the past I have alway used the acelerated clock on the ps2 version, does it revert back to regular time after the 2.00 minute warning at the end of the half, and the game?
I am asking about the next gen systems btw.

how are the sim stats for the season? im intrested in trying this but in madden 09 when there was not an accelerated clock. qb's were throwing for 600 yards a game. curious to see how season simulation turns out

hope we can get a general consensus on the most realistic settings by friday (don't own the game yet). you all seem to prefer different ACC and quarter lengths.

Theoretically the most realistic settings are the ones that will get you averaging around 126 plays a game..this is the NFL average (don't quote me..it might be 2 or 3 plays higher or lower but you get the idea). The question then becomes are the results of these 126 plays coming out in a realistic fashion. In other words, is the running game well represented? Are the passing stats realistic? If these numbers are out of whack based on 126 plays then there is an issue with the sim engine and you would have to adjust the clock downward to compensate. These are not questions that can be answered in one game. People need to spend some time with the game and see how things are coming out.
