oh man, that guy seemed cool.
    i liked him.

maybe Josh Looman moves up higher?
I wouldnt have a problem with a bigger role for 'Mr. Franchise'.

In any event I hope he is happy where he moves next.
life is short, go for yours Filly.

It's already been announced that Roy Harvey from NCAA is taking Phil's spot.

The series is finally making strides I don't think we'd be seeing without them. I just hope we keep seeing that momentum.
do you really want to go there?

"brought us a game that was much closer to the vision of OS"?

then why does Madden 12 have more similarities (gameplay wise) with Madden 08 (Ortiz's last year there) than Madden 09-11.

you act like the player models were that much better in Madden 09?

sure they were big those years, but they went from a photo-realistic look to a cartoony look with Madden 09-10...players were also skinny and short...but for this year they look like they went back to the photo-realistic look.

Madden 09-11 had animation problems...players were jittery.....and of course ProTak and just eh tackling animations affected on the field gameplay.

but you look at Madden 12 and the gameplay reminds me of Madden 08, as far as tackling.

I don't think it's a coincidence why some are excited about this year's version, because it is losing all the on the field gimmicks and going back to core gameplay.

here is Madden 08...imo, it looks similar to Madden 12 gameplay wise.....compared to what we've had these past couple of years.

Nice long post, but I was just poking fun at Mr. Ortiz....

Am I the only one that finds it funny when people who have never written one line of code pass off their opinion on game engines as some sort of fact. What's even funnier is those opinions aren't even educated guesses.

It's almost as funny as troof chasers trying to give lessons on physics.

But it's nice to see the usual group of Madden trolls show up to the party.

Wasn't the engines rebuilt for this gen?

It's still the "look at me , I found this issue" etc.. generation. It's one thing to try and make a game better but OS is way too tolerant with the general dip****s that just cant live without drama or agendas.

Sorry, but the game isn't even up to where it was last gen yet. Consumers have every right to be dissatisfied. The nobody can criticize anything crowd is just as bad. OS is also way to tolerant with the above.

Absolutely. Those types of behaviors were supposed to have been cracked down on but that has yet to happen.

Difference between criticism and what he's talking about. Big difference.

It could be. I try to stay away from making those kinds of blanket statements though.

All I can say is, here's to hoping that this years Madden is finally back to where it should have started on this next (now current) gen. I'm still taking a wait and see approach, but for the first time since going to the next gen, I'm at least a little interested in what they say they are doing.

Side note: everyone should realize how much they put into Madden 12 this year. We have Ian, Phil and company to thank for that massive push for change.
