It's not just the roster editing, for most people it is a combination of things. Yes, the CC mode looks like it has some real potential and the new engine looks great, but in the process we have lost several features.

Roster editing was an enjoyable feature that I think a lot of people used. Even if they just let us fix the equipment & numbers of players I think people would be happier.

. Multiple team control is another missing feature. This pretty much leaves people playing on the same console with one option and that's Play Now mode. Everything else you have to do alone

Importing draft classes and RTG players is gone as well. It was great to have the ability to use players for four years in NCAA then transfer them over to Madden. This also allowed people with edited rosters in NCAA to get actual college players in the Madden games.

My personal favorite feature couch co-op is gone. I've been playing Franchise mode in Madden for as long as I can remember and the best part was playing couch co-op games with friends and family members.

I'm not denying that Madden has added some nice new features, but they've taken away some great ones in the process.

So not only can i not edit played during Connected Careers... now i can't even used edited rosters that were done prior to starting Connected Careers? Wow what a ripoff. Was gonna give Madden a chance this year and was excited about it but i'll pass once again since we can only use 1 team in Connected careers and can't even edit the players. No thanks.

I'm sure they'll do like the NCAA team did and patch it in. Hopefully it won't be the total disaster like it was with NCAA 12.

His post actually made me laugh out loud, which is why I liked it. But his post was to make the point that competition and removal of features are not directly correlated. The post I quoted of yours brought up the comparison of Madden with the "other game"

Just didn't want to see this turn into another back-and-forth regardless of who started it.

Yep..he is also the same guy who actually had a functional franchise mode during his tenure...and with all those things you said, not ONE of them was as big of a deal-breaker as THIS is for ppl...Never once..do i recall do i remember even the actual owner of these boards have to make a PSA announcement concerning a issue..stating what can actually be a dealbreaker for ppl with NONE of those things you pointed out...so yeah i feel this "little" thing beats out those by MILES...

You can have all this great new things in, thats fine Madden 13 will prob actually be a better playing game than 12..but when you TAKE out the meat n potatos of what makes a mode such as Franchise so important..which is playing and controlling EVERY/or almost aspect of your team or others as you see fit..then yes..i tend to miss the guy..who knew not to F that one thing up. )

Can't agree there either, the new Locomotion and overall step backwards in M11 made me not even purchase the game after playing the demo. I only kept M12 for a month after the frustrating walk on FAs that flooded the franchise, poor FA system & pretty bad importing of NCAA rosters in Franchise Mode...different strokes for different folks I guess because those were deal-breakers for me. But with that track record, I seriously doubt he would have done a lot more good, especially since he started this whole oblivious act when well known issues with the game were brought up to him, along with a few snide remarks to the community. He started off well but quickly lost focus under the criticism during & after M11 unfortunately.

It was most likely Looman's decision and Weber agreed to it, I just don't see Ian caring that much post M10 either way, especially since he tried to tell us Franchise wasn't used much in Madden in the first place.

what if i made my Franchise an online franchise. could we play a 2 player franchise that way even though we are on the same console?

im getting this for the 360 so couldnt we take advantage of the fact that u can sign in with 2 different profiles?

This just sealed the deal for me.....

No Madden 13 because i like to edit stuff that i feel is broken or screwed up with EA Default rosters/ratings.

Sliders alone don't fix some of the flaws so this is a major dissapointment for me.

If i spend $60 bucks on their game i should be able to edit and play my franchise/dynasty any way i damn well please offline.

If i don't want to play a season with current NFL teams i shouldn't be forced to do so by EA.

Enjoyed Madden 12 was the best Madden in like 6 years IMO....but I'm not a online gamer so this CCM thing does nothing for me. Will be sticking with NCAA 13 all year now.

I honestly don't know why everyone is so pumped about Madden. What is it that everyone see's? I see a messy RTP engine along with the same thing I've seen since 2011. Out of all the games I've watched on youtube, nothing has really stood out to me. Not one thing. Can someone explain to me why this Madden is so much better than last years?

If you have online accounts for 2 different profiles then that would work, yes. Might need to buy an individual online pass for Madden ($10) I believe. A pain and an inconvenience, but at least somewhat of a work-around until they implement multi-team control back into the game.
