if the game looked like that things would be so much better , but again ea has screwed the pouch."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

You can see the Oline/Dline is the same as what we saw today. Which is a good thing. However, like I just said we go from QB animations looking like that way back when, now to looking like current gen. I don't get it.Comment

Thats like saying you dont care how an MLB players swing looks in a baseball game. I mean, you are watching the ball so who cares if the swing looks like crap. It's part of the immersion factor. It's hard to be immersed into something completely when things like that stand out.Comment

Well the game is still jacked when the ball is released from the Qb's hand, became theirs no way in heck Cam Newton is that accurate. In fact do you agree the Qb's are way to accurate in Madden? Especially the bad ones like Ponder, Tebow, Sanchez, they all play like Peyton Manning.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next-Gen Gameplay Trailer and Four More War in the Trenches Videos
ive always been criticlal of the o/d line play sine ive played madden back in 2001, but not gonna lie the eagles/cowgirls and titans/seahwaks vids gave me a hardon. its not perfect but there is hope that theres a lot to look forward to in this coming gen.
ya there are some left over stuff form the previous gen like that poverty looking dropback, stiffness and throwing animation by the qb but thats not a game killer even though its not an excuse as it should have been dealt with years ago.
the things imo that killed madden was the lack of pressure by the 4 down lineman, robo qb, and crappy looking animations. from what i seen so far im willing to go along with it but more gameplay vids would be nice, but im leaning towards actually buying it.
edit: i hope oldenburg stays on with madden for a while in the coming gen, i trust himLast edited by Captain Obvious; 10-18-2013, 07:45 PM.Comment

Why do they have legs on the player models constantly bent?!? Even when players are running at full speed the legs never fully straighten and it just throws the whole look out. Try to walk around your house with your legs constantly bent, it's impossible!!Hating Collingwood and umpires since 1979Comment

Every one of the videos are fantastic if you just listen and don't watch what is happening on screen. Their ideas are sound (targeting, sorting system) but their execution is flailing. On the sorting video he comments to watch the left side of the line and when you look over there you see Jordan Gross getting flattened after being bumped by a stunting defender. OK, glad the guard knew to pick him up but you are telling me that while engaged in a block if Gross was touched by a second defender he is going to collapse like a house of cards.
I will give them this, it does look like a good start and if ratings actually mater in this new system (rookie linemen have jacked up sorting and don't play like all pros, weaker linemen get blown up) and penalties are called properly then I will admit this is a strong start on next gen. However, I don't have a lot of faith in ratings meaning jack again after watching a 2 time pro bowler fold up after being touched.Last edited by Dogslax41; 10-18-2013, 07:46 PM.Comment
