Kind of like what the NFL is doing now. They are turning it into an offensive game. The offense has all the advantages.Comment

Those videos are exactly what I was hoping for all these years. Focusing on where it ask starts, in the trenches. Sure, there is some fine tuning that needs to be worked on but if you ready just pay attention to the individual wars its awesome. There is actually momentum in true step. No more pity patty hand fighting.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next-Gen Gameplay Trailer and Four More War in the Trenches Videos
Much better than I expected the game to look. I'll be the first to give them props for overhauling the O-Line. I think that's going to pay HUGE dividends.
That said, the running animations don't look much better. And why does the QB still throw and hold the ball in the exact same way they did this generation? That's something that should have never made its way over to NG. Hopefully they are still holding some stuff back, but I doubt there will be much.
Still, today was a good sign for the future of Madden.Writer for Operation Sports

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next-Gen Gameplay Trailer and Four More War in the Trenches Videos
I am indeed a little more impressed with these videos. I did notice some nice lighting in these videos, and I recall reading that NextGen Madden would have progressive lighting and progressive weather that changes and actually accumulates on the field. I know I read it on this site since I rarely read sports game news anywhere else.
Can someone help me out? I cannot seem to find this reference anywhere. I am a big fan of progressive lighting as it helps immerse you in the fact that the game is getting closer to the end when you see the sky darken and the lights come on.
Thanks for any help. Back to the subject at hand.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next-Gen Gameplay Trailer and Four More War in the Trenches Videos
The actual player models seem to have declined looks wise vs current gen. There is something about the QB model that looks way off. Hunch back or maybe they are to big. Geezz not sure. Definitely only a few player model body sizes.
Overall, just ok. Wasn't expecting more from EA. Next Gen system, same ole Madden.Comment

EA Sports today held a Q&A session on Twitter relating to the visual aspects of next-gen Madden NFL 25 on the heels of the trailer released yesterday. New information pertains to updated uniforms and equipment, the default camera angle, field degradation, progressive lighting, and that coaches will be wearing headsets on the sidelines. Yes, return
I'll be giving my impressions on today's trailers and info soon, just now catching up. I am impressed that we got a full gameplay reveal today and not just a trailer for True Step, I definitely expected each element of gameplay to be revealed over the next few weeks.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next-Gen Gameplay Trailer and Four More War in the Trenches Videos
The more I watch the raw gameplay clips that Clint is narrating, the more I see how horrid the animations still are. Just look into the secondary. Players stuttering and moving sporadically, man. I just will never be able to fully give them props until they fix this movement. A couple bad animations I could deal with, but this stuff is all over the field at every position. Even the new OL/DL stuff they overhauled for this year has suction and sliding everywhere. I mean damn Tiburon. WTH is holding you back?http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next-Gen Gameplay Trailer and Four More War in the Trenches Videos
Thanks for the links. I actually found it just before you posted. I hope the feature is like NCAA used to have. The sun literally moved after every play and the progression from daytime to dusk to dark was impressive. I know this may sound corny but it made me feel pressured that I was running out of time. It's like our bodies know that if the sun is going down and the lights are on we are getting close to the end of the game, and if we are trailing.....well we better rally fast!Comment
