Wow, I totally agree with you! Exactly to the T.

Everyone is so caught up about how the players run, and the true step, but the fact of the matter remains that players in Madden don't walk like real people. They don't jog like real people. They don't sprint like real people. And they certainly don't run like real people. And all of that stuff goes into play when it comes to the immersion factor in the game.

One little thing I always like in 2k was how speed and weight always came into play for the gamer. So if you caught a long pass and no one is around you, your player would slowly ease up on his speed, almost to a jog, and then look around and slowly walk in for a touchdown with smug joy.

Is that something that's gonna make or break sales? No, but it looks and feels real. And as someone else aptly said here recently, realism = fun.

They need a new animation engine, as long as they keep using this dated/broken animation engine not much will be different. Its impossible to achieve realistic movement with this engine, thats the bottom line. Next-gen Nba 2K is using the same animation engine from this gen, and it still moves more realistic than Nba Live 14, that should tell you something. If Nba Live 14, who has been working on their next gen release for a few years in the face of competition can't get fluid movement, then you know Madden is never going to have it unless they use a new improved animation engine, and thats highly unlikely.

nice thoughts Sim, I agree. I use to bash EA a much as the next guy but to say they aren't trying now isn't being fair. maybe they aren't succeeding at it enough for some. but to say this is the same game from two or three years ago just isn't the case. im seeing things in M25 CG that I never thought id see in an EA FB game. i had given up. and it looks as though they have continued to push those things further in NG. what the finished next gen product will be? well have to wait and see but I am optimistic.

This looks alot more promising than what we have seen so far.
If these videos don't whet peoples appetites than really nothing will.
obviously not going to be perfect but this is definitely some of the redesigning that most of the community has been asking for.
NOW I have some excitement back. For a while I was really disappointed.
Now show us some of those DE's getting to the qb. Show me some of the moves these guys are going to use to crush the qbs.

This looks good, but it doesn't look Next Gen to me. I mean if you told me this was Madden 15 on PS3, I would think it was awesome. Those line interactions and cutting should've been in the game three years ago. I refuse to believe they needed a next gen console to put realistic blocking in a football game. I mean the graphics on this look no better than Grand Theft Auto or The Last of Us IMO. I think it looks good and it's definitely better. However, it doesn't strike me as OMG next gen like some other videos have. The line blocking looks good but I guess the animations were so poor that the recievers route running, the throwing, some of the running still look bad. The pretty much need to overhaul everything like the did for the o-line.

I agree with the exception that it should have been 6 to 8 years ago. not counting RTP this is the stuff EA could never pull off this generation. not because of hardware limitations but because of the core engine they started this gen with among other things.

Again when I'm playing a baseball game I'm watching the pitch that's coming to me.. You have a second or two to decide the speed location and type of pitch! Who really is looking at the player swinging? And if you are that probably stops after the first week!

You have no idea what you are talking about. And it's very clear you are not a baseball fan!

One of my favorite things about baseball is seeing that beautiful swing!

Thank you EA for finally making a good marketing decision...Showing acual gameplay with the improvements beats a pretty CG trailer any day...I likeing I saw and I still realize that in order to truly see/feel the improvements Igoing have to play the game.

You guys dissecting videos kill ..Face it...Madden will never meet your expectations...The animations will never be perfect enough, the QB drop backs will never be what you want...So instead of chiming in every page with your 300th critique of at you don't like maybe just realize that Madden will never be 2K enough or good enough to satisfy the level of perfection you have engrained in your mind that a sorts sim needs to attain.

If you enjoy Madden for what it is...EA's best effort to make money and give us a sports sim then you w sleep allot better...Allot of the complaints are off base because you don't know what build is or whether they were making some quirky move just to show off a particular aspect of the game that is improved...I just appreciate what I can actally see and I think they did a pretty good job. Looking forward to getting the game. This is exactly why I don't get all hyped up one way or the other because you really never know until you get the game.

All those guys yakkin about the MNF videos just ate a small servng of crow...LOL

This statement is a great example of something that a person would never say if these two people just met and were just having a normal discussion at a coffee shop, party or at school or whatever. First of all its just plain rude...2nd of all you should never assume your own opinion is more valued than the next persons opinion. 3rd of all you might get popped and you just end up looking like a tool when your rude to folks you don't know.

Its great to disagree I do it a lot but too many people here seem to think they are the authority on everything. Then if you don't agree with them the passive agressive stuff starts...SMH

The poster was trying to say that the way the swing looks in a baseball game does not matter and I 100% disagree with him. I am aloud to have my own opinions even if someone may not like it. Yes actually I am a very good guy in real life At least that's what people tell me. And I am sure you are as well. Sometimes things come across the wrong way with words rather then voice.

In real life sometimes I could be talking about a movie i just saw with a buddy and he thinks it's the greatest movie ever made and I would be like are you crazy it was boring and not very good at all. I have never had anyone tell me that was rude.

I would like to see offensive linemen finish off their blocks more on passing plays. I want to see them fall in top of defensive linemen and give the "oh sh**" effort or attempt to hold when they get beat by a pass rusher. Right now it seems like the O-linemen just let you go after the pass rusher gets to a certain angle.

Again...it all looks good to me but my only concern is that the blocking will be too good...Its already tough to gt pressure on the QB. I do like seeing the DE get upfield though because I think that will negate players from trying to float outside and buy more time outside of the pocket.
