I'm really hoping for color customization as well as various striping choice options - think Denver Broncos side swath, Oregon Ducks, etc. The team Bryce Paup is playing on has unique side striping it seems. Either way, if they give the option to choose colors, numbering highlights, striping, etc. I'd go crazy. Would be cool if they allow you to edit every team and different fonts but that's doubtful. But if you can take it online, it's be cool to see the designs people come up with - would be like showing off car designs in Forza.

Really like that they're going to have varying sock lengths also

I think the designs themselves are fine. It's just the number font is too small.....and really doesn't give off the "pro" feeling we're used too.

The only thing that this game is likely to do is push Madden to innovate and add more features to the game quicker than they would have before.

And unfortunately too many people accept that

i'm fine with that. this is what a lot of big companies do. Smaller companies have the innovated ideas but the big company take those ideas and expand. It happens in every industry and being that I've been in both situations in my professional career i except it.

We have no choice. I didnt buy Madden until the exclusive deal kicked in. I love NFL football and want to play a game that has NFL players and teams. If you want that you have to play Madden.

KUDOS to Visual Concepts on putting the USER in control of 90% of this title. Man I'm really looking forward to seeing some of those Uniforms & LOGO's people will be creating...

has it been noted by VC that we can go in there pixel by pixel and edit logos? and share them or is it that we can choose between a catalog of 120 generic logos and "Change" the logos.

itll be interesting to see what theyve done.

VC has never been one to give a great deal of options for created teams in the past.

I never said that the nfl was hanging it's future on anything I`m simply saying that perhaps they would reconsider the deal.Or even get rid of it.Maybe they won't but I think they may at least consider it if this game lives up to expectations.And madden next gen isnt average it's pure garbage.

I didn't say you said anything. It's an example... a reason why what you said doesn't really make much sense. The NFL only cares about money and image... especially when talking about video games. This game playing well or selling well won't make one difference to the NFL. The only way the license gets opened back up is if they aren't happy with EA for some reason, and it won't be gameplay. It could be sales but Madden has never had a problem with sales so that's unlikely too.

Well thats tight. I love the customization but, I sure hope they have better colors to choose from. Some of those Uni's are bright! And dark brown.. gross. Some of them dont look bad, but lets face it, some of those were pretty ugly. I hope they have more uniform styles too, I hate to say it, but some of those uni's and players, kinda reminded me of Blitz the League. And thats what I was kinda affraid of.

I'll end up buying this game, most likely, but I hope theres enough customization to get that Blitz feeling to go away. But hey, at least its real football. With real players, well real legends. So hey, im happy, I guess for now, im looking forward to seeing some videos tho.

Please...Even if this game is the greatest football game ever it still isnt the NFL and thats what the large majority of football game consumers want. This game wont effect Madden's sales until 2k gets the NFL license back and thats unlikely to happen since EA is more than willing to pay the same or more than what they did before, the NFL loves exclusive deals and Take Two is having serious money problems.

Agreed - actually I think it might have a chance to cut into NCAA's sales a bit. Many people get NCAA as an appetizer for Madden, then it gets put away for a while when Madden comes out. This year people might give APF a chance instead.

They would have said the same thing about EA's NBA Live a couple years ago and look at it now NBA 2K7 blows it away in quality and sales. Madden will get its sales this year..but like NFL 2K5 VC will also get sales from APF and word of mouth will spread and players will take notice of a real next gen football game. Knowing VC this is only the beginning....they ALWAYS raise the bar.... I bet next year they have like 500 legends and even tighter game play. Damn straight EA better take notice and get off their lazy ***.

NBA Live never had the sales power or numbers Madden does. Madden defines the Genre, right or wrong.

And as I said, even in 2k's best year, when they had the license, sold for half the price of Madden, and came out earlier than Madden, the PS2 version of Madden alone, outsold all versions of NFL 2k5 combined. You're kidding yourself if you think an unlicensed game that hasn't been on the market for 3 years is going to have a noticable affect on Madden's sales.
