But, didn't NFL Gameday on PS2 have a feature like this?

Gameday had the headset playcalling but it did not let you construct a gameplan. VC should talk about this a bit later.

This here will be some cool stuff. They should talk about it soon. Anyone that has ever wanted to construct their own game plan should love this.

I hope they have old school formations and offenses availible in game too. I would love to run the old packer sweep with Walter Payton running around right end with Russ Grimm and Jerry Kramer leading the way.

Anyways my biggest hope with this game is to have a league where I can have a handful of teams who run the ball 70% a dozen teams that run the ball 50% and a handful of teams that throw the ball 70% of the time.

That type of strategy, taking football philosphy from the 60's to present day will define this games experience to me.

I would love to be able to run the wishbone with this game engine, or the triple option.....= wet dream.

Madden is gonna outsell this game 20-1, maybe more.
Am I glad 2k is bringing back its game? Absolutely. Competition is good.
Do I think this game will be anything other than a niche title for hardcore fanboys? Absolutely.

In fairnessjdr4693 is not typical of the majority of 2k fans here at OS. We do have some "EA is Satan" types, but most of our guys will play any game provided it's good.

So, Im an online guy. Franchise is fun, but online is what gets my blood flowing.

If I can go on there with a team that has the unis I designed, Im going to LOVE this.

Imagine how many people will have killer unis. Even Rainbow 6 was cool because you could combine colors and stuff and make crazy looking outfits...this is way better. You could have super loud and ugly unis or real classic looks. Everyone you play will look different...do you guys think this is whats going to happen?

If so, my team is going garnett and gold FSU style baby!!

It's going to be nice to go online and have your own stamp on the team you control. The players, the type of team, the uniform colors and the logo.

Yeah, I envision this being like the Forza Motorsport of football games...If it's successful in developing a following and killer artist community, they may decide the NFL license isn't worth it after all!

Not to rain on anyone's parade or anything - but I wouldn't get *too* excited over the ability to "edit the logos". That could simply mean you get the pick the colors used on them, ala last-gen Madden or Blitz-the-League. Give me a screenshot showing a paintshop style logo editor, then we have gold. Until then, I wouldn't read too much into that feature.

Is it not possible for 2K to let us just add jpg's to our 360/PS3 hard drives for logos, and the disc can reference them?

Logo's, Color Schems, If we can change the players on the current rosters and add created players then we can make our on Nfl the logo's may not match but im pretty sure we can get the colors and jerseys right. I think having the nfl feel is great but i do not think its going to matter it is going to be a hard task to not think nfl when you play the game. Think football just football

Agreed. I thought the same thing watching the trailer. All the uniforms and logos displayed reminded me very much of Blitz's limited editor.

I would love nothing more than to be able to utlilze my imagination and create my own custom league, but I will reserve my excitement until I see how in depth the editor is.

I could enjoy a game without an NFL license, but I can't get into the defult names, logos, colors etc.
