    Forgive my ignorance.

What exactly is wrong with editing the sliders?

This theory seems like it would work and I'm going to try it but what about TE, WR's, and even QB's? Are you going to lower their ratings as well?

I don't buy into the strategic theory of tackling. I've been in practice mode numerous times and have used Ray Lewis time and time again trying to tackle Eddie George and he breaks Big Play Ray's tackle 90% of the time. I've tried diving, charging, just running into eddie george, taking a good angle, ive tried it on all difficulties including legend, and with jistics and nolefans sliders and Ray Lewis cant tackle Eddie George which a example of the excessive break tackling. So lowering BTK ratings is the only way to go if you dont play online like me or you dont do multiple years in franchise. I think Sega made the excessive BTK's for a fun factor and didn't think hardcore gamers would notice or simply wouldnt care. It's a shame but for now lowering BTK is the only way to go it seems. As i have tried everything else. No more Ricky WIlliams getting 19 BTK's a game for 65 yards, or even worse 19 BTK's for 250 yards.

I agree. I have seen numerous backs b*tch slap Brian Urlacher, who had good form, for my taste.

Absolutely nothing! But we must consider the fact that maybe it is not the game that makes the computer run too well or the human passing game not accurate enough etc.. but maybe its are own gaming skills that need to be tweaked not the slider, so my point being the slider may be the easy way out.

Point taken, but the same things happen in coach mode and cpu vs cpu...the engine needs some tweaking.
