That dev guy (or whatever position he holds) from EA who told 2K to "bring it on" at E3 should be careful what he wishes for.....in many ways 2K's football games that are 10+ years old are superior to Madden.

Either way, the competition would force both sides to continually improve beyond fixing one aspect of the game (EA) each year based on a 5-10 year plan.

As long as people exist who played 2K5 there will be a demand for a 2K football game.

APF 2K8 made two major mistakes. 1 was blowing the budget on signing legends and 2 was not having any type of franchise mode to give the game longevity. 2K could've just put out a game made of fictional teams and players and as long as it had great gameplay, features, and presentation they could've done fine.

I will always look forward to the day that the 2K team puts out another football game. The biggest problem is that most of the guys that were behind the 2K5 team probably don't work there anymore.
