There really hasn't been much info released regarding what console the game will be on, but based on Damon Grow's nteraction with the community on twitter and the bits of information about the game that he has revealed, it is safe to assume that this is likely more than a mobile game. No one yet knows for a fact that this game will be made for the consoles, and there will be lots of speculation about it until that gets announced. Personally, I don't think Damon would have interacted with the sim community as much if he knew that the community would be let down due to the game only being made for mobile devices...

Edit: Damon just posted a pic of Nfl 2k5 on his twitter. I don't think Damon would go this far if this was just a mobile game

Well that sounds good and all, I just hope he isn't trolling the ever loving hell out of us with these teases.

Very few people would lay their reputations, work, and livelihoods down to troll a large amount of people. Not saying it isn't possible, and man would that suck, but Damon looks to be one of the most genuine developers I've seen. Even followed me on Twitter (lol). But this brings me to some questions.

        1. Is there any definitive evidence that led us to the mobile game debate. The link on the first page, that leads to a post from FaceMask, that leads to another forum where there is a deleted thread or something. So aside from Grow's history in mobile gaming, is there something I missed?
        2. On Grow, do we yet know his actual position? I don't think he is a project manager of some sort, or he may be, Lord knows. Too many questions, I just want to be happy.

He knows his audience, they eat it up on Twitter. He was throwing out hashtags like #notjustarosterupdate early on also.

We've gone from 'news around the Super Bowl' to a delay and people getting excited about the title screen to 2k5. Just not a lot to go off of, all signs still point to PC + mobile at best, with plenty of room to be surprised by more... but a small startup isn't going to be publishing a brand new title on a bunch of platforms.

The only pieces of tech we've even glimpsed are things like players sweating and raw motion capture animations.

I'm looking forward to him removing all skepticism and backing it all up.

I'm interested in hearing/seeing more about the "forums" he mentioned several days ago. I wonder if he, too, will be interacting with us on there.

What is Damon's actual title and how did he get associated with the "sim" crowd? Just trying to figure out when his name started getting associated with this project and what his history with sim football is (if any).

2K5 pic, lol. He sure knows what buttons to press. That one caused a bit of a blow up, too.

From his tweets, he comes across as a level-headed guy, so I'm sure he realizes people are getting restless for even basic info.

It looks like Joe Montana is calling all the shots in terms of what they do and when they do it. I can't say I agree with a number of things, but then again, he's Joe Montana and I'm just a mere mortal, so at least on that respect I'll go easy... for now

In response to the first question, I think Damon has a background in mobile gaming and the San Francisco office he showed is home to a mobile gaming site. The first set of images included a shot of reliant stadium suggesting an NFL license which would have to be mobile, but the EA logo found in that shot debunked that idea.

On the other hand, the model with sweat pooling is incredibly detailed for a mobile game. Damon has said that there are 3500 permutations of fans, he also showed a scrolling message in game stadium that gave a shout out to Ryan Moody. Again, that's a lot of detail for mobile gaming. Then there are the hashtags. "You've waited long enough" makes no sense in the mobile gaming world. There are lots of mobile football games. "Not just a roster update" is another jab at console sports games and Madden in particular. It doesn't make sense as a promo to a mobile game either. Now Damon posts a 2k5 image suggesting that's a game he is striving to beat or at least match.

Basically, either this is a console/pc game in my opinion or Damon Grow should be inducted into the troll hall of fame. : )

I just think its a weird combination to have a PC game and a mobile game if that makes sense. Usually, multi platform games would be for PC and the consoles. I think the whole thing points towards a console/PC release. If it does release for Console and PC, I'm going to have a tough decision to make...

I agree with most of this.

I'm sure the you've waited long enough is in reference to waiting for another Montana football game.

Grow definitely knows who the audience is, no doubt.

It will be interesting where this all winds up.

I have a feeling we may not get substantial info until E3...just a guess. Pretty bold tweeting the 2k5 pic...that is no small gauntlet he is throwing down there.

Fair point on the hashtag. It's been so long I tend to forget there has been joe montana football before.

His audience is another thing too. I get the impression Ryan Moody and other SIM community guys are already giving advice and feedback. These guys aren't known as mobile gamers. Having them involved in any capacity would suggest something bigger and more detailed than your average mobile game.

I made a post over the weekend that nobody commented on it, but I noticed Grow has worked on and developed 4 Facebook games. Facebook reaches a large audience world wide, so, that could be another possibility, unless I'm way off base.

I don't game on Facebook, but it seems to me those games would be very simple games with basic graphics and controls. It just doesn't seem likely with what we've been shown so far.
