This game looks great JayBee. All the videos I have seen, something just looks off by the movement of the QB, I just can't put my finger on it. This might end up being a day 1 purchase, but I will wait and see what everyone here says impressions wise.

Re: Backbreaker Video: Running Game Tutorial
I completely agree. At the same time this looks like the best football game ever at this point. Yes it will be a little shallow, but it is a deeper game than APF. I turned injuries off in season mode anyway b/c the backups were horrid at QB and WR in APF2k8.
Let's go! Realistic football. Woo!

Re: Backbreaker Video: Running Game Tutorial
I think I may pass on Madden this year. After seeing how great this game looks in motion, and how nice the controls look, I honestly don't think I'll want to go back to the old way Madden plays. Of course I'll know more come June 1st, I'm definitely taking the day off to spend it with Backbreaker.Comment

Re: Backbreaker Video: Running Game Tutorial
You're making an interesting point, and I could be wrong on this, but the defender that 82 blocks is on the same yard line as the ball carrier. Question 1: How far do you think that defender is away from the ball carrier? Did the defender have a legitimate chance at getting to the ball carrier justifying the block, rather then the escort?
I don't think that defender was more than 5 yards from the ball carrier. At the time of the block by #74 , #82 was within a body length of the ball carrier. After #74 disposes of one defender #82 turns around, takes maybe two steps and then blocks the defender. He might have been 15 feet away.
If 74 tripped on the guy he blocked, I wonder if right after this clip the RB fell over 74 after his foot clipped through his leg.Attached FilesComment

Re: Backbreaker Video: Running Game Tutorial
I dont know why anyone would be complaining over a linemen falling down.. Lineman fall down all the time after making a block especially a block in the open field which it looks like this particular play was.
The Agility / Power running styles reminds of 2K5 and how they made finesse and power backs play like themselves.
The game looks better and better with each video. Can hardly wait.Comment

Re: Backbreaker Video: Running Game Tutorial
I def not complaining. When have you ever seen a lineman's foot get stepped on in a video game and it trips him?Comment

Re: Backbreaker Video: Running Game Tutorial
You guys are awesome, it's amazing when a lineman can have his foot stepped on by what looks like a 250lb safety and fall down, but then it's suddenly 'nothing to see here, making a big deal of nothing' when the running back's foot clips through almost his entire lower leg, from foot to knee. I guess it's not quite all 'physics based action' and if it is, then there are some collision problems.Comment
