OK, so now we've gone from Bret Basanez to Omar Jacobs...
If Vince Young comes out this year, expect him to go in that spot.

Leinart slipping down to #6 is laughable.

Omar Jacobs will not enter the draft early. He didn't have a very good season and was injured.

No way any LB is drafted ahead of Hawk. He's a freak, and the Saints desperately need playmakers. I think if Leinart dropped to the Saints, they would probably take him.

I don't think Vince Young would go top 10, even if he left early. Moot point though since he's probably coming back for his senior year.

If Leinart falls to the Saints, I don't see they can go in any other direction. Aaron Brooks is a big part of the reason the Saints have been so inconsistent over the past few years and it's time to go in a new direction. He's commited a large number of the Saints TO's and has been questioned at times for his leadership. Matt Leinart fills that gap perfectly.

Meanwhile on VY, I don't think he's top 10 either, but a versitale QB for the Ravens would add another dimension to the offense.

Young doesn't have the arm strength to succeed in the NFL. Sure he can run like a madman and has nice touch on some lofted balls but he won't have the arm to throw a 20 yard out pattern. He'll probably go 3rd round (which is still too high IMO) I'll bet.

I think he'll go in the first round simply because of the "potential" that he has to develop into a good QB... or he might pull a Matt Jones.

VY doesn't have the best arm, but neither did Joe Montana.

Ryan Leaf had a strong arm and look what happened to him.

I'm not a huge follower of college football so I'm not even going to pretend I know what I'm talking about as far as who ends up going 1-10. But you guys really think Young could slip that far(provided he even declares this year)?

VY is a rising name on NFL draft boards just for the simple reason of his potential. Yes, he does not have the best arm, but teams looking for playmakers would love to have a guy who could add a whole other dimension to the offense. His throwing ability is decent enough. As long as the offense he is involved in can run an offense with short passes, or if he can at least the deliver the ball, he will be fine.
VY has mid to late first-round talent.

there are some very talented offensive tackles in this draft. We could see 3 go in the top 15.

The two are completely different. Brooks is an actual quarterback. An inconsistent one, but a QB regardless of what people think of it. Brooks makes throws that Young can only dream about making -- the only thing that is comparable is that they both have shown they be can inconsistent. Thanks.

You can't be as stupid in terms of making decisions as Aaron Brooks is. He makes throws a 5-year old would in the same sitaution.
