he will be drafted as somewhat of a "project" at QB in the first place, and i dont know if more passes in college is what will make him better (for the pro game). He is going to get a "redshirt" in the NFL anyway, and NFL passes are what he needs to become an NFL QB.

after watching this kid, im convinced that he CAN be an successful NFL QB his release is the main thing that make people question his throwing ability, but Larry Bird had the weirdest shot in basketball, and he turned out aiight
Big difference between Larry Bird and VY.

VY has shown he can throw the slip screen, and the heave, he seems to throw that skinny post and the seam routes pretty well. But he's been pretty shaky on a lot of NFL style routes, the comebacks, the digs, the curls etc.

Will he be a good NFL QB? Who knows, I don't think he translates well.. How many teams are going to be willing to take a shot at him with a first round pick? Tough to say.

I think taking snaps in college would be quite helpful, despite the fact that UT's offense in terms of scheme and play style doesn't reflect a pro offense in any shape or form.

I have to say he's the most perplexing QB prospect for me, to come out in some time. I just don't see it..

I think the kid that's going to rise up the QB rankings and could possibly jump up in to the first round is actually the kid from Grambling, provided he keeps his weight in check.

        ESPN Power Rankings: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerranking

        1) San Francisco (From Houston) - Reggie Bush RB USC
        2) New York Jets - Matt Leinart QB USC
        3) Houston Texans - D'Brickashaw Ferguson OT Virginia
        4) New Orleans Saints - Jimmy Williams CB Virginia Tech
        5) Green Bay Packers - DeAngelo Williams RB Memphis
        6) Miami Dolphins - Mario Williams DE NC State
        7) Tennesee Titans - AJ Hawk LB Ohio State
        8) Arizona Cardinals - Eric Winston OT Miami (FL)
        9) Baltimore Ravens - Bret Basanez QB Northwestern
        10) Detroit Lions - DeMeco Ryans LB Alabama

        What do you guys think?
Bret Basanez getting picked over Vince Young? Not likely. I do believe Basanez will be drafted on the first day and he'll be a solid pro QB if he goes to the right system but being picked 9th is reaching.

Kurt Warner, Gus Freotte, and Brooks Bollinger all have a better TD/INT ratio than Aaron Brooks.

watch out for Jay Cutler, QB from Vanderbilt.

After the combines, he could really blow up and end up a first rounder.

If you've seen the Jets play offense this year, you probably wouldn't have made this post.

When you have an aging RB like Curtis Martin on the downside of his career and you're as desperate as the NY Jets are for any offensive threat, you need Reggie Bush.

Yeah, I saw him play this year. He's a pretty good decision maker and field general. When he found an open receiver, his throws were pretty accurate (couldn't really tell about the strength though cause he didn't throw many long). But when he knew no one was open, he didn't hesistate to run and get some decent yardage on the ground. I think whoever gets him will have a pretty good QB on their hands.

Cutler's draft stock could improve a great deal at the combine. He basically willed Vanderbilt to all 5 of their wins, and he's got the build for a typical NFL QB.
