Not a fair comparison bc ET wasn't reporting much on the living MJ. Hell, even Bush/Cheney had a limited time of relevance while Favre has been pulling this act for YEARS.

People keep slamming Favre for this latest item, but I get the sense that it's completely fueled by Jay Glazer's prediction, ESPN's hype machine, and the Minnesota Vikings' players whom Glazer talked to. Favre doesn't directly have anything to do with this latest "news", IMO, other than that this news involves him.

That said, the Favre stuff needs to go away. He said he wasn't coming back, can't we just leave him alone?

I agree... and not really piling on as much with the Favre bashing as the Freelance joke. With that said, if he does end up playing and it proves he just tried to avoid training camp then it's all deserved. But I'll wait and see.

Brett Favre is a complete joke and a sham, but this is all on Childress and the Minnesota organization. They let Brett call the shots instead of giving them an early deadline to play or not. The fact that they let him decide so late crept doubts into the player's thoughts as who the quarterback is or should be. They really were the ones that botched this.
