She was trying to handle it quietly. Usually quietly means, she won't make a big deal out of it, if you pay her. Doesn't make it any less of sexual harassment, and this wouldn't be a story if the victim didn't care about it.

Keeping something quiet unless you get paid isn't something a victim of sexual harassment would do, that's just blackmail and extortion. Now if she was scared that he would somehow retaliate against her then that's one thing but from everything that came out it's obvious that she was just trying to get money anyway she could.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

It's not a theory. The guy uses the personal conduct policy as however he sees fit. If we weren't dealing with a marketable player, with a huge name and career, such as Favre, there would have been a suspension + fine over a month ago. The policy has suspended people before, simply for being involved in allegations.

There's no way of knowing that since nothing like this has come up with another player. I'm also pretty sure that if it wasn't Favre involved in this no one would give a damn.

Bret handled this issue as well as any politician/public figure. He faced the music and kept his mouth shut. He won.

Goodell citing "insufficient evidence" sounds so incredibly insulting.

              And hilarious. Very, very hilarious.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

He should have been suspended from driving the tractor for four weeks.

I said from the beginning the PCP would back fire on the Commish and league. The PCP origins was Adam Jones. I always felt Commish overreacted to the media and Mr. Jones issues. Once he discipline Jones he had to use these same extreme measures for all players.

Big Ben suspension was wrong based on accusations but the commish had to act.
He had to act because the league is made up of mostly (against TOS) and eyebrows were being raised. The commish had to come down hard on Ben. Ben was a scapegoat for a bad policy.

The commish knew he was entering a hot mess with Bret. The Bret scandal was one part personal, one part legal, and a major part extortion. The PCP exposes players to extortion based on their private lives.

spot on Grunt. I have to say there isn't as much knucklehead stuff happening during season as it was previous seasons. Plus the way they are ruling with hits dudes can't take a chance messing up in the streets missing games checks and then getting fined for hits on the field.

                      Bang on post

Ben's suspension was pure baloney, but i don't want to start on about it.

Goodell should do an about face, man up, and "amend" his BS personal conduct policy.

More women after Brett (not in the way he wants):

                        http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/n...ory?id=5985582
NEW YORK -- Two massage therapists sued Brett Favre on Monday, saying they lost their part-time jobs with the New York Jets after complaining about sexually suggestive text messages from the veteran quarterback.
Claiming they were subjected to sexual harassment and job discrimination, Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole are seeking unspecified damages from Favre, the Jets and a Jets massage coordinator.
While the women don't say they received any messages directly from Favre, he referred to Scavo in a message proposing a meeting with her and a third, unidentified massage therapist, the lawsuit says.

"Kinda lonely tonight," he added in a subsequent message to the third masseuse, the lawsuit said. "I guess I have bad intentions."
The team declined to comment. Favre's agent didn't immediately return a telephone message.

Just when you think he's gonna fade into the background, up pops a lawsuit so we won't even be able to enjoy the playoffs without hearing about him.

However, it looks like the Jets and the massage coordinator are the ones in the most legal trouble here.

It's stuff like this that pisses me off. I mean come on now.

The first girl took 3 years to file her "harassment" case. *rolls eyes*

The second thing is the timing it came up. The Vikings were just about to play the Jets. Perfect timing eh?

All it's about is some woman who want a quick buck.

I'm glad she didn't win considering 9 times out of 10 the woman wins regardless.

It's three different women making accusations towards Favre coming out this year. How come it's all about the money for him, but Ben is a rapist? Remember, his first "scandal" was nothing more than one of these allegations. His second scandal wasn't much more. Double standards ftw.
