Re: Brett Favre in trouble with the ladies

I've been saying it a long time, and won't quit until this douchebag Roger is gone.

Gooodell has zero credibility with his personal conduct policy. There will never be any consistency under his rule. Brett should have been suspended at the least for not cooperating with the investigation.

Goodell's "personal conduct policy" always seems to mirror whatever direction the media is going in. How odd.

Again, what would you have Goodell do? Suspend him for 4 games next year?

What did farve do again to warrant the hammer being brought on him?

Improper conduct in the workplace, since Sterger was a coworker w/ the Jets. And like someone else said, a 1 gm suspension for lack of cooperation/honesty would have been fair, even if it's just symbolic since Favre is injured.

Well was it improper conduct in the workplace really? Was he on the field flashing his balls over to the girl? I thought he was texting her in his down time (content excluded). Sure he was potentially cheating on his wife but as far as we know he did not, so farve really didnt do anything at all in my eyes.

Re: Brett Favre in trouble with the ladies

Does anybody else find it ridiculous that James Harrison was fined $75,000 for a hit that could be argued for both sides of being legal or illegal in doing his job as a football player while Saint Brett of the Favre is only fined $50,000 for taking pictures of his business and flaunting them to the hired help? I mean seriously how much more against personal conduct does it get? Everyone else he's come down with the hammer for any little thing that besmirches the shield and yet this yields this result? Not being forthcoming during the investigation? What did Brett tell him he was just documenting how well the zippers on Wranglers worked and Goodell believed him until he investigated further?

Re: Brett Favre in trouble with the ladies

This happened months ago. He waited until now to not jeopardize Favre's starting streak, for one, and so he could duck the fact that since it's late in the season and he's retiring, he wouldn't have to suspend him at all.

There's supposedly a player conduct policy in place. But it only factors into certain players, not media golden boys like Favre, despite the way they violate it. If this happened to certain other players, just the mere fact that their name is associated with it, would warrant them a suspension.

Ever hear of sexual harassment? It doesn't matter what hours it takes place. Where I work, a co-worker liked a girl who wasn't interested in him, so he followed her home from work one day and was basically harassing her. Does it matter that this took place outside of work, and outside of working hours? No. He was still fired.

                    Goodell is a joke.
Who cares? He didn't injure someone or break a law, he supposedly sent some woman naked pictures of himself. Even with all my hatred of Favre, I can't convince myself that this is something worth being outraged about.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I thought Favre and his people were in full compliance? Guess Goodell didn't have the balls to actually suspend or seriously fine Favre for if he really did send these texts.

From all the reports, she didn't think it was inappopriate enough to file charges, she just wanted to get some kind of money out of it. You're getting angry about something that the alleged victim didn't even care that much about.

You're mistaking people pointing out the double standards of our great Commissioner Goodell as outrage. No one's seriously angry about this, at least I'm not, just frustrated about the dictatorship that Goodell has created w/ his vague conduct policy.

I would've been fine if the league didn't waste time conducting a phony investigation that we all should have known wouldn't lead to Good ol Brett seeing any serious punishment. It was a dog and pony show to make Goodell seem 'fair'.

I didnt know she wanted money but yeah she didnt file charges or anything so she probably didnt mind so much until years later when someone close to her probably told her to come out with the story.

And Farve wasn't stalking this person, he was calling her and asking her to spend time with him, to my knowledge she never told him to go away or stay away from her or to stop harassing her. The only wrong was the alleged text of his nuts, which is still alleged....

There are reasons to not like Goodell but this isn't one of them. It's just an excuse for people to complain and come up with new conspiracy theories.
