Re: NFL Off Topic
This is the only reason that makes sense to me. He was not only losing game checks, but accruing fines. And I don't necessarily think he's living paycheck to paycheck, but that adds up, especially in his prime payday years.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
As I said before, my problem was with your reply to me. I responded to your "jab", yes... but then you posted a stereotypical bs response that could be cut and paste from that article or any Boston board.
As for Harbaugh saying it was deception, it was... that doesn't make it wrong. What made it wrong was the refs not doing their job to maintain fair play. I also mentioned that (it was the refs fault) so coming at me like that because "many ravens fans" called it cheating was bs. You want to jab with the picture, feel free. But the defending of the Pats and blaming everyone else that goes along with it gets annoying.
I didn't defend the Pats because the Pats did nothing wrong in this case.
No where was there blame put on anyone. And my response was not BS because it was all true and backed by facts. It was also directly in response to things said on record and here on this board (you included). There was no "digging" around the Internet to make my case. As you accused me of doing but clearly needed to do yourself by sourcing an article and a comment section to make your argument. I have witnessed you tell others not to do this very thing by the way. Hold things said on comment sections elsewhere against posters here.
Anyways, I'm done with this conversation. Continuing on will lead nowhere.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I wouldn't be surprised if they offered to cut him a break on the fines if he came back now, maybe also signaling the potential to rework his deal in the off season. His leverage is they're 0-2 and their incentive is they know he's willing to hold out.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Sounds like Ray Lewis had an impact in Kam coming in. Last week he had his thoughts on the holdout:
"I can only speak from experience itself, but there's one thing that I thought would be way bigger than money. And let me make this clear, I love Kam Chancellor. Do I think he should be paid? Absolutely. I'm always for the players when it comes to that. But I am also for the players when it comes to the other side too.
"I would never leave my brothers in battle. Never. Not over money. Money can't have people sitting around their Thanksgiving tables talking about me. Money can't have me in that game yesterday against the Rams knowing I can make a difference. I'm sitting there letting my boys out there run... man listen, I understand that the point is money, don't get me wrong, but when you have to choose from brotherhood and money.
"And he'll tell you, no one will call him about that. Cause listen, the business is a business, absolutely, and he deserves his money, he demands his money. I understand that. But at what price? As a teammate. As a brother. And all his boys are going to back him, they're going to say, 'That man should get his money.' And they're absolutely correct. But at what price, Stephen A! At what price, bro?
"Every contract negotiation I ever had in my life, there's one thing I always told my agent: Don't ever put me in a position where I have to choose between that decision and me being on the field. Because I'm being on the field, every day. I ain't missing no plays. I ain't missing no days. I ain't missing no battles. I ain't missing no wars. That's why you play. Money is a byproduct of it.Your best source for quality Seattle Seahawks news, rumors, analysis, stats and scores from the fan perspective.
Kam just had his first press conference and Ray Lewis was one of the first names he mentioned that he talked to and was one of those who influenced his decision to come in.
So in other words, thanks Ray!Last edited by thaima1shu; 09-23-2015, 03:45 PM.Comment

BTW, I didn't dig, a friend who's a patriots fan posted the article on facebook. And my reaction to you wasn't based on the commenters in that article (especially since I responded to you before I even saw the article), it was specifically saying that's how you were acting... big difference. If anything, giving me the canned response because of what everyone else said is exactly what I hate other people doing... and why the response bothered me so much.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
He had no leverage... many of us said it before this. Them being 0-2 doesn't matter... maybe if we were talking about Russell Wilson. Not trying to discredit his value, but he's not a QB and definitely isn't worth opening the flood gates for players to demand a new contract after signing one only a year ago. They made it clear they weren't budging on that.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I don't understand the value of a late round draft pick when trading for a veteran. Looking up the 5th round selections that the Bills have made the last several years, they have ended up with practice squad players, guys in the CFL or out of football all together. While Cassel is a journeyman, seems like a veteran QB would be worth a little more than a 5th rounder????

2013 - Jonathan Meeks Practice Squad
2012 - Zebrie Sanders CFL
