Yeah, that suggestion is up there with banning jumping and diving.

My thought? You and your buddy need to find ways to prevent boredom.

Boredom leads to conversations and ideas like that.

A lot to be figured out because agreement on funding is far from hashed out, but current proposed schedule is Raiders to request relocation vote in January for a stadium opening in Vegas in 2020.

Maybe there's still a chance. Ravens and Harbaugh were fined and lost a week of OTAs for putting rookies in pads.

Unrelated, Ravens brought in Ray Rice to chat w/ said rookies today.

Lol I probably wasn't clear but that's not what's being proposed at all. You can make a play on the ball as long as it's on the ball. What's not permitted is hitting the receiver himself to dislodge the ball.

Also, DPI rules would be relaxed to encourage more on the ball plays.

Chris Berman's going back, back, back, back to civilian life as he's retiring at the end of the 2016 season.

He may have fell in love with his catchphrases and schtick too much since about '05 or so but i'll always have fond memories as a kid watching Primetime after the Sunday of football. He'll be one less Bills backer within the media world after this season. Here's hoping my Bills will allow him to use "Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills." in a positive aspect.

I literally haven't watched ESPN coverage of anything in 10+ years, but in the late 80's/early 1990's he and TJ on NFL Primetime were must watch. I still watch those on youtube when I can...

When Primetime went away, it was devastating. Nothing like bridging the end of the late games and the start of the night game with Primetime and their music. NBC's preshow with all those douchebags just doesn't cut it. Now that I think about it, the end of Primetime as constituted coincided with a huge drop in my ESPN viewing overall.

Losing Primetime was terrible but what issues do you have with Michaels and Patrick? I think they are great.

Once Primetime merged with Sportscenter and became "The Blitz", that was it for me.

Was always better as its own show. I'm with you on NBC. Dungy and Harrison ruin their pregame for me.

Al Michaels is fine. I just....Patrick, Costas, Harrison, Dungy, Olbermann, Florio, King, and whoever else they trot out drive me bat****. Smarmy, pretentious, and annoying to me. I dunno.

I'm probably the world's only fan of Berman doing the "whoop!" yelp, it still cracks me up lol, but I don't watch tons of ESPN anymore so maybe I haven't been inundated enough... or maybe it was just something I cracked up with my Dad about so I still hold it dear, we'd laugh our asses off at the highlights
