Re: NFL Off Topic
Was having this conversation with a friend of mine discussing injuries in the NFL...
What would you think if the NFL got rid of defenders dislodging the ball from the receivers? Basically all defenders would have to make plays on the ball in the air or wait until the receiver completes a catching attempt to attempt the tackle.
Boredom leads to conversations and ideas like that.Comment

Also, DPI rules would be relaxed to encourage more on the ball plays."Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Chris Berman's going back, back, back, back to civilian life as he's retiring at the end of the 2016 season.
He may have fell in love with his catchphrases and schtick too much since about '05 or so but i'll always have fond memories as a kid watching Primetime after the Sunday of football. He'll be one less Bills backer within the media world after this season. Here's hoping my Bills will allow him to use "Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills." in a positive aspect.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: NFL Off Topic
When Primetime went away, it was devastating. Nothing like bridging the end of the late games and the start of the night game with Primetime and their music. NBC's preshow with all those douchebags just doesn't cut it. Now that I think about it, the end of Primetime as constituted coincided with a huge drop in my ESPN viewing overall.Comment

Was always better as its own show. I'm with you on NBC. Dungy and Harrison ruin their pregame for me.#RespectTheCultureComment

I'm probably the world's only fan of Berman doing the "whoop!" yelp, it still cracks me up lol, but I don't watch tons of ESPN anymore so maybe I haven't been inundated enough... or maybe it was just something I cracked up with my Dad about so I still hold it dear, we'd laugh our asses off at the highlightsWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment
