I'm not shocked this happens at every level of football from high school up. Hell, it was basically described in remember the titans. I've been on both ends of it having played QB and S in high school. Good on Lomas for admitting it years later.

Well, my hateful comments aside, it's pretty ridiculous a lineman, even a pro bowl beast, would intentionally whiff in hopes of the QB getting hurt. Cmon Lomas, you're better than that.

And all the fuss about what lomas said amounts to what exactly? To all who are shocked, dismayed, or think its disgraceful/ridiculous just take a chill pill and calm down lol... It's football after all, the place where at the bottom of every pile dirty underhand tactics are employed on a constant basis... There is no such thing as sportsmanship (even among teammates) in football, good example being the glover didn't exactly tell lomas not to do that lol

Piles are one thing. This is an offensive lineman purposely wanting his quarterback hurt.

There is no comparison between the two, and while not shocking, it is disgraceful.

As a lineman I feel Lomas' pain. My team's QB was an absolute prick and I wouldnt shed a tear if/when he got popped. But I never intentionally did anything to get him hurt. Its about the team, always. I dont know what he was thinking even admitting this.

Since there is no thread for the jets vs chargers game, I'll post it here. The referees for this game are awful. They are an embarrassment to the league. NONE of these guys should have a job as a high school ref, let alone the nfl.

And the jets offensive line just tried to pull a lomas brown. McElroy just got sacked 11 times. 11. They should be ashamed of themselves

Shows that as bad as QB play has been this year, the Jets problems on offense run much deeper than that. Offensive line can't protect, receivers can't get open. Running game is average at best. Jets do nothing well offensively.
