But your 1st comment is along the lines of what I was originally replying to. I think you understand the human nature of connections like this (taking a chance on something illegal without making a direct correlation of how it may effect you financially or otherwise) better than most, considering your job. In short, we, as people, make bad decisions all the time. We get away with it enough and we are less and less careful with trying to avoid getting caught. Other than the repeat offenders, I don't see any reason to consider these young men any different than the average person in their decision making, even though the consequences in this case can be so big.
Wasn't trying to paint everyone the same. I would just think it falls more under an addiction if you continually make these mistakes with so much on the line.

For the record I don't care if they smoke weed or not.

Yea that's how bad it is.

Sgt. Darrell Coslin with the Smith County Sheriff's Office said Mahomes and three friends returned home after attending a baseball game. Upon pulling into the driveway, another car blocked them in. A robber got out of his vehicle and approached Mahomes and the others, acting as if he had a gun in his waistband. The robber demanded the victims' goods, who complied.

Yeah, sorry wasn't trying to put you on the spot. We're on the same page, if they continually make the same mistake. I just hesitate to have that thought about guys that get caught for the 1st time or 1st time in a while after getting away with the behavior for probably a good portion of their lives.

I don't care either, especially with so many laws changing around the country. But I just see people talking about them not being able to quit weed. I don't think most of them are having a problem quitting... bc they're not trying to quit. I don't think they're taking the situation all that seriously.

I'm OK with that. Think we'll see some good OTs that are essentially long methodical drives followed by a 2 minute drill.

I not a fan of the completely asymmetrical one we have now, but lets pretend we've debated that for 5 pages and move on to the next topic

Edit: oh, it's just shortening the time, not changing anything else about OT. Yeah, that's lame. Would rather it be a 10 minute extension of the game.

Any of you college fans see the female announcer in those ranks joining the pros? Beth Mowins is calling the Broncos / Chargers game, one of the two opening MNF double headers.

                    That seems pretty awful.

We just had a season of a few ties, and pretty much everyone didn't like it. So the solution is a better chance for more ties? Okay!

I'm not sure what the perfect solution to figuring out OT rules, but this doesn't seem like a good one. I understand the focus of this is to increase player safety, but cutting 5 minutes doesn't seem to move the needle much while likely having consequences (ties) most people don't want.

I care so little about NFL happenings that don't concern the Patriots to even give a **** anymore. If they want change it to a 10 minute quarter or skip OT altogether and end the game in a tie, it's whatever for me.

I'm more or less in the same boat as you. I used to watch as much NFL football as I can but in recent years I just watch the Bills and maybe watch a few other games and the playoffs. I of course keep in touch with what's going on but man, this league has screwed the pooch in how it's perceived.
