When I saw that cross the ticker tonight I was taken aback. Man, that guy's life is just totally off the rails.

Houston. Patrick Edwards. Briefly signed by the Lions for a couple of years. He ran into a cart behind the endzone and snapped his leg in two while playing against Marshall and he sued them later I think.

Thank you for the clarification. I remember watching that game; it was a horrific injury.

"Why they could miss playoffs: The Panthers haven't had a winning record in consecutive seasons since they began playing in 1995."

Do things like this annoy everyone else the same way it does me? Its superstitious nonsense, not analysis. Or when a so called expert picks the winner of a game and says something like "they haven't lost back to back home games in..."

I had to hear it with talk of the Ravens frequently. They lose one game, then the next week they get another tough matchup where they should be the underdog, but some idiot picks them to win because "in the past three seasons, the Ravens are 8-2 the week after losing." Or talking about their record after the bye week.

              Just grinds my gears

It's an omen for the Panthers. Cam will probably get hurt week 3 and the team will ride Garrett Gilbert to a 4-12 season

A lot of those superstitions are indicative of how teams prepare and how effectively they gameplan against others. Trends are important in context too.

And then sometimes, it's just all you have to go off of.

Is Garrett Gilbert really the backup?

God, it's gonna be like the national championship all over again.

Unfortunately yes. The Panthers liked him enough to keep him on the 53 man roster as a 3rd string QB so no one could take him off the PS last year.

Terrell Owens has been added to the Edmonton Eskimos(CFL) negotiation list. We know he's still in shape, but can he still make a pro football team? Regardless what happens with this CFL negotiation, I wonder if he'd ever think about the AAF or XFL in the future.

                          CFL will CFL it seems.

I wonder what it would cost to trade for Colt McCoy to stay ahead of it, cash considerations? Sounds about right

Baker Mayfield is incredible. I'm gonna be a fan of his forever.

And the hoodie he's wearing says "Undraftable" on it. He only wore it for that show because Cowherd called him undraftable.

EDIT: He just gets it, man.
