The Jets had stripes on the shoulder pads, now they have some horizontal stripe that makes them look like they are wearing a cape.

I really like them, but I also like most things Nike does. They look good.Rice Owls - Houston Astros/Dynamo/Rockets/Texans - Arsenal - PSGComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
How many teams actually got a redesign though? I'm sure I'm missing some, it just seems that Nike takes the blandest possible uniform and makes that one.

Jets
Browns
Titans
Jaguars before the current look
Buccaneers
Seahawks
Then you have teams that rebranded, and made subtle changes or did things that don't completely stand out from the crowd.
Dolphins
Bills
Jaguars current look
Lions
Vikings
It's more on the teams for not having unique uniforms.
Teams that didn't change when Nike took over
Patriots
Ravens
Bengals
Steelers
Texans
Colts
The entire AFC West
The entire NFC East
Bears
Packers
Falcons
Panthers
Saints
Cardinals
Rams

Re: NFL Off Topic
I very much prefer the more classic simpler look of the old Jets uniforms over the new ones. Tend to lean that way with uniform designs in general.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I'd give the Jets uniforms a C+. I was expecting far worse. They're a simple design but a stepdown--unlike Jacksonville and Tennessee, whose were an improvement although they're uninspired--and kind of in no man's land. Not out there enough to be modern and cutting edge but replacing a simple, classic design with a simple, meh design. I can almost guarantee they'll do another redesign in five years once they're eligible to do so.
I like the lighter shade of green. Not quite kelly green but way better than hunter green. I don't hate the shoulder stripe. The pants are fine. Simple and something besides one or two thin vertical stripes.
- I can't stand the New York on the jersey. That wreaks of college football or another non-NFL pro league.
- Hate the black alternates. Are we in 1996 again? Thought teams learned long ago that black for the sake of black is wack.
- Strongly dislike the helmet. Wish they kept a white helmet but that wasn't possible with the black alts. Plain green with a boring/simple logo - at least throw in a white stripe or something (maybe inspired by a jet's contrails).
There was so much inspiration the designers could have drawn from. An actual fighter jet or flight. The line/arrow underneath their 80s logo.
Bottom line: plain & uninspired is better than experimental and ugly as sin (looking at you, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, and Cleveland). I don't hate these but certainly don't love them. They get a shoulder shrug; the vitriol on social media is unwarranted."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
