Why dick around with things for no reason.
I guess that's the era we live in.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Raiders/Packers game in August will be played in Winnipeg.
Their stadium is expandable to 40,000, so it'll still be a nice crowd for a pre-season game.
No Packers home game should be moved, but GB after this season will be only one to never play a regular season game international series game. I wonder if this pre-season series could lead to them on the road vs some other team?Comment

17 or 18 week fantasy football seasons... I’ll pass. I don’t have the temperament for that."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

Re: NFL Off Topic
Football is already overexposed and not nearly as interesting or worthy of watching to me as, say, 10 years ago. They cane extend the season all they want but they already have a good season length and they especially have a good number of teams and playoff format.

They are continuously messing with the product so they've always dicked around with it.

That's why it's gotten progressively worse or uninteresting to watch. Whattaya think I've been bitching about for years now.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Yet people think playing 162 games over the stretch of 26 weeks + Spring in February and March + post-season isn't too much baseball. If you can't go to work on a Thursday and work a normal 7-3:30 shift without missing a game then there's too much of it to me.
I don't think they should mess with it either, but it's not the first sport I think of when it comes to being overexposed. I get serious baseball fatigue by the time the playoffs roll around. I'm ready for it to end whereas with football I'm sad that it's coming to an end, but it's nice to get some things done on the weekend.Last edited by AUChase; 06-06-2019, 02:50 PM.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
You guys realize that there is a 95% chance that the 18 game thing is just being put out there so the owners can use it as something they "concede" during the next CBA negotiations, right?
It's an empty threat that will turn out to be something the owners "gave up" to come to an agreement with the players.Comment

Carson Wentz got paid.
4 year extension, 128M (107M in guarantees... damn). Average is 32M/year in simple terms but only 25.8M when factoring in the remaining 2 years on his deal. Delicious rookie wage scale, even for the #2 overall pick. That scale has been a MAJOR factor in how teams build and reload their rosters.
The price only goes up, so extend ‘em early. Hear that, Rams and Cowboys?NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
