    NFL Off Topic

I’m convinced he froze his feet intentionally to skip training camp.

Imagine calling your boss’ boss some not so nice words and posting a phone call in which I’m sure Gruden didn’t know he was being recorded (CA 2 party state) and still being employed.

The latest turn on AB's wild ride:

Is he asking to be released on instagram or asking to be released on the field?

I just got an email from Antonio Brown. He tells me the team “took away my guarantees.” He added there’s “no way I play after they took that and made my contract week to week.” So at this moment, once again, don’t expect AB to play on Monday Night Football.

I thought it was an easy joke, but after this it looks like it may actually be true. His statement says he wants to do stuff for himself. The whole reason he is on the Raiders is because he wanted to leave the Steelers.

The only way another team picks him up is if he deletes all social media accounts and keeps his mouth shut. This has become a TO situation and he is going to be working out in a driveway soon.

Raiders shouldn't cut him and should just suspend him when he doesn't show up.

Whatever AB has done, and it is a lot, he is right in not playing if the team voided his guarantees. Time to force (again) his way out.

I don’t feel sorry for either side.

Raiders knew what they were getting into when they traded for him. And if Brown won’t honor his end of the contract, then I also don’t blame the Raiders for possibly voiding his guarantees.

He can't. He is most likely getting a 5 day letter to show up. If he doesn't show up, he is out of the NFL for the season with no pay. If he shows up but continues to do this stuff, they can suspend him. I suspect they will suspend him the 4 games. Then if he leaves again, they can put him on the left team list and he is done.

Oakland also still would own his contract, which would not be guaranteed. So if he wants to comeback the following year, he has to play under the existing contract.
