Mark Madden, (I think you may know of him but in case you dont, knows Vince and worked for the WCW for awhile with Vince) said this afternoon on his show that AB would be the perfect person for him to market the league. Vince would use him for much more than just football.

Except, he'd show what a joke the talent level of that league is.

They can't cover him in the NFL. He'd put up 12/250/4TD lines every game if the QB can throw it in the vicinity.

He isn’t wrong about the balance of power being in the owners/league’s favor, but he is NOT the guy who should be advancing this cause. Didn’t hear anything out of him about it until he screwed around and left 40 mil on the table, so he gets no pity from me.

Owners and teams lined up for his services even after his spats in PIT and OAK, now that he finally found the line that no club will want to cross, he’s crying about it.

Both have the same amount of power. Long term contracts can't be guaranteed. Agents and players want to be a player with the largest deal. Players can sign fully guaranteed contracts, but the total value and years have to be shorter.

Players also can control the language in deals around ending the contract and types of guarantees. Most of them don't care enough to know the differences.

AB is just pissed he didn't read his contract or understand the terms.
