I think Booger is so much better than people give him credit for.

I think a lot of the hate came from that stupid thing they had him on early last year.

Yeah on second thought I think he still has plenty of money from not paying anyone. He seems to never pay for anything unless money is required upfront. All the stories coming out are crazy.

The Patriots rewarding this fool by signing him was disgusting.

Winning a game is more important then integrity apparently.

Of course it is. Always has been in the NFL, and across football in general. I don't know why anyone thinks differently.

These guys get paid to win football games. That's it.

Have people always scrutinized every single word and sentence commentators/play by play people have said? It seems like when I turn on MNF now and then look at my Twitter timeline it's constant complaining about it and people expecting perfection.

I think Booger is okay. Joe Tess seems more out of place than anything. The only really off thing about Booger to me is how last week he spent the majority of the game implying that Deshaun Watson wasn't a NFL quarterback. It got a little repetitive hearing him compare every big play made or missed play to that of some past/present good quarterback.

The only analyst in sports I don't like now is Gary Danielson on CBS. He's awful and has years of experience.

It could be, yes. But Fitzpatrick was taken 10th overall and would have been higher in most years as 4 QBs went ahead of him (that wouldn't happen most years).

If you believe Fitzpatrick is worthy of his draft position then you remove the possibility of being wrong with that future pick and drafting a bust.

I'm going to wait and see how it plays out. A large part of the equation will be the play of Mason Rudolph, obviously. If he looks the part of a future franchise QB this year then I'll have no issue with this trade.

Miami is paying for most of him too, I read PIT is only on the hook for like 1.5M a year owed to him. Basically traded a future pick for a past pick (since it was so recent), and will hardly be paying for it. The team control is probably the big concession here, only get him for 4 years assuming he continues his play and they pick up his 5th year option.

True. I guess it's worth getting someone proven over another 1st round pick of Artie or Bud.

I believe plenty of owners would sacrifice wins for doing the right thing

In fact I know. Look at all the teams that could have tried to sign him yet passed.
The Pats were sure quick to pull the trigger, wonder why no one else was?

We know what teams passed? What if New England was his first choice and his camp reached out to them?

I believe Cleveland and Seattle expressed interest. Pretty sure I had read that somewhere regarding AB.

It depends how you frame it. Some teams, notably Philadelphia and Kansas City, take chances on players perceived as having baggage. It works sometimes and it doesn’t other times. It’s ugly when it doesn’t, generally no headlines when a guy who has had trouble in the past isn’t doing something bad.
