Honestly, i'm so tired of the Bell shenanigans and i'm not even a Steelers fan!

This is the ultimate "addition by subtraction" scenario i've seen in a while.

Yeah I remember hearing that too. I wonder when everyone figured out that wasn't the case

Apparently Jordy Nelson may be retiring today. Haven't seen a solid confirmation one way or the other, just a lot of chatter about it.

            Why?

            I don't blame the guy.

RBs take a lot of punishment.

Look at all these torn ACLs going around.

I understand there's no way to 'make up' the 14 mil, but he could've also signed for 14 mil and then ruined his FA with an injury.

It's not the fact that he wants more money and such. I understand that but it seems he lied to teammates and has basically turned everyone in the locker room against him to some extent.

There's an unwritten rule in football that you don't get all up in arms over players trying to squeeze every last dollar but almost to a man his teammates (especially the offensive line guys) came out against him earlier this year. It's a bad look and I stick by my assertion that this is addition by subtraction.

Obviously his ploy didn't work and I don't think he's gonna get the kind of money in the open market that he thought he would.

Can anyone explain to me why they won't place the transition tag on him?

Everyone says it's a virtual lock they won't but I don't get it. Some team would for sure match what it will be and the Steelers would get some compensation picks out of it.

I don't quite understand why they would just let him walk for nothing? Worst case scenario would be no team matches, and they either trade him or work out an extension, or even cut him at that point.

(There has to be something I'm missing)

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. The Steelers wouldn't get any picks if they choose not to match an offer sheet. I had it backwards.

Hypothetical: if Bell became a free agent, but no team was interested in giving him a massive long-term deal, would people portray him as a victim/marytr? I would laugh.

I'm sure some would but i'd say "that's the way the cookie crumbles".

Looks like Hue Jackson to the Bengals.

They still have both Browns games on their schedule.

                          It’s finally over.

We’ve had bad QB, but I’ve never seen someone this awful.

                          Good luck to him.

Discussions continue about whether Monday night’s Chiefs-Rams game will be played in Mexico City, LA or postponed, per sources. NFL determined to play it Monday night in Mexico City, but the field is “a mess” and might not be safe for players. It’s a significant concern.

Also, if the Rams beat the Chiefs and the Packers beat the Seahawks the Rams would clinch their division before Thanksgiving. This is something that has only been accomplished previously by the '85 Bears.

I would think it's easy enough to just play the game in LA...would be absolutely nuts to play on that field (imagine the outcry if a key player is injured) and would hate to see it postponed.
