I'm not just picking on you either cima. Saw this with Suh as well.
I miss those days. I did find it funny when I saw some comments about him stepping on Russell Wilson's ankle earlier this year.

This victim card you're playing is also common with you man. We're here to talk sports. You say something ridiculous, you'll get called out (same is true for me and everyone else). You bring this stuff on yourself... and no one needs to be a fan of a rival team to see it or point it out.
What exactly is ridiculous about my argument? You do realize there is absolutely nothing clear and concise about either incident, right? It's speculation due to past behavior. All I did was open the realm of other possibilities. There's 2 sides to every story but many are only receptive to 1 of those sides.

And what's this victim card nonsense? Is it because I said pitchforks? Lol that was in reference to Burfict, not me and is influenced from the "witch hunt" over on r/NFL and r/Bengals.

Speculation? You could make it a grainy/grey video and not tell me who the players/teams are and I'd still say that is a dirty play. I actually saw the play without knowing who it was/what the context was and thought "good grief, who is that making a dirty play rolling up that receiver's leg?".

Here is why nearly everyone is saying you are only being a homer -- you have created a completely new standard on which to judge actions.

The standard has normally been determining what is the reasonable conclusion. Your new standard is we cannot make a judgement unless we are 100% certain as to his intentions.

You've created a new standard for this incident, and in all likelihood you will abandon it once this passes.

Right, like I said it very well could've been a dirty hit because he's really just that stupid and will never learn. My point is though that's not the ONLY plausible explanation. Brady pump faked right towards Bennett which is what caused the reaction in the first place. So if we speculate that Burfict bites on the pump thinking it was a throw, that explains the hit because he would've arrived right as Bennett caught the ball.

This is an issue because Bennett wasn't thrown the ball. Brady did fake at him though and it's POSSIBLE this is why the hit occurred. That's all I'm trying to say.

It is a reasonable conclusion, one that I never denied. I'm just arguing it's not the ONLY reasonable conclusion. It's not unreasonable to conclude that he bit on the pump fake. Not sure how to be more clear about that.

If he had bitten on the pump wouldn't the correct instinct be to break up the pass rather than dive at the knee?

You're basically saying his instinct is to play dirty lol.

He was probably too far away to break it up. Like I said, if that's a throw to Bennett, it's immediately a tackle and a non-issue. The way NFL rules are now has caused many more players to tackle low to avoid the high-hit penalties (like Burfict in the WC game).

Most manage to actually tackle the torso.

And try to get their arm into the receivers arms to maybe try to break up the pass by ripping the ball out or something.

Trying to disrupt the pass by diving at the knee doesn't strike me as the normal course of action.

We all know the league sent them the tablets with the old firmware on them. NE ain't getting updates until Brady and Belichek retire.

                          At least I hope.

My man Cima over here in the football forums getting his preseason reps in for his Ohio blinders, trying to get all ready for NBA season over in the basketball forum.

How you gonna try to rationalize someone launching themselves into anybody's knees on a football field, pump fake or not homie?
