... Tim Coughlin out as GM for the Jags... Things kind of fell apart quick there.

Re: NFL Off Topic
The take on the Jags is "Coughlin's presence was the problem..." because he levied too many fines on players or whatnot.
Yeah. Relatively successful NFL coaching veteran of idk-how-many years, and his expectations of accountability, are the problems lol
I'm sure more lax discipline is going to shoot the Jags right to the top.
Players--Postition Coaches--Coordinators--Head Coach--GM...then Coughlin. He seems a bit removed from the minutiae of the game to be "the problem".
Expectations are high, according to the FO, for next year.Australian Rules Football...just sayin'Comment

Sounds like Coughlin wanted to be the hardass he always was without actually having the same relationship with players you do as a coach. So he came off as just an ******* because they didn’t even take their plays from him. He wasn’t in the trenches with them, so they had limited to no respect for him.
Breaking the CBA isn’t keeping the team disciplined either. It’s illegal. The only one that needed discipline was Coughlin, and the owner delivered that. And he was right to do so. Who wants to come to/stay in Jacksonville knowing it’s being run like a detention center? Coughlin thought he was running a tight ship, instead he was poking holes in it for any players on expiring contracts or potential free agents.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

TC had to go because he ignored the rules for what he could fine. Even though the players probably needed to be fined, the CBA says he couldn't and he still did.Comment

Nobody’s played the “These spoiled athletes couldn’t take any real discipline so that’s why they cried to the NFLPA and their boss to get him fired” card yet?#RespectTheCultureComment
