Re: NFL Off Topic
What kind of makes it worse, is that this was announced around the time of another bad report regarding Snyder or the team. So, the initial reaction was that they were using this as a way to cover up the BS. And to now, reveal this is pathetic and disrespectful to Sean Taylor's name. Literally would've been better off taking a mannequin from Moddells or Dick's.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I had to double check this. Technically Leaf has a 21-20 lead in starts if you count his time with Dallas
Akili Smith started 17
Rich Campbell (#6 overall pick in 1981) started 0 games.
Kelly Stouffer (#6 overall in 1987) 16 career starts
Jim Druckenmiller (#26 overall in 1999) 1 career start
Jerry Tagge (#11 overall in 1972 (why am I still looking this up) 12 career starts)
this one surprised me: Cade McNown (#12 overall 1999) 15 career starts, thought he had more than that
Dan McGwire (#16 overall 1991), 5 career starts
Andre Ware (7th overall 1990 (Lions (Heisman winner)), 6 career starts
Todd Marinovich (#24 overall 1991 (yeah him)), 8 career starts
Art Schlichter (#4 overall 1982), 6 career starts
and that took up my whole night lolLast edited by l3ulvl; 11-30-2022, 03:41 AM.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

The question was about shortest leash for a top 5 pick, not shortest overall career. There is a good chance that Wilson has more starts over his career and likely even more to come with the Jets but that leash was short.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Buffalo signed John Brown back to the practice squad. I have no idea if he has anything left in the tank but between him, Shaq Lawson, Jordan Phillips, and AJ Klein - We're getting the band* back together, baby!
*Except Beasley, screw that guy.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

I’ll take any healthy bodies right now. I don’t expect anything from Smoke, but it’s nice he’s back since he really helped at the beginning of this run of success we’ve had. For a player that was only with us for 2 years, he made quite an impact.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: NFL Off Topic
If Brown can still catch, he'd be a help. McKenzie and Davis are way in their heads about drops, and Knox is weirdly absent.
If McDermott was humanly capable of trusting non-cornerback rookies, then Shakir would be worth a good look in the slot.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Since we were halfway to a gorgeous AFL uni throwback match up last night, I am instituting a new rule as sports emperor:
All teams must have a light and dark throwback. If the home team picks throwbacks, the road team must as well. I have spoken.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Panthers cutting Baker Mayfield. Wonder if he's got enough rep left to have a cup of coffee with SF, NY, Indy, etc? Lots of teams could be interested in a cheap project that doesn't involve pick compensation.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

LA or AZ should claim him out of spite so that SF doesn’t get him.#RespectTheCultureComment
