NFL Off Topic
They aren’t being used to actually spot the ball though.
The cameras are used to best determine where the ball has already been spotted using the current process in place to determine its location relative to the line to gain.Last edited by kehlis; 04-02-2025, 07:09 PM.Comment

Yeah, starting at the 35 feels like overcompensating. Makes field goals way too accessible after one decent play. If they want more returns, just incentivize it — don’t break field position logic.Comment

"Lacy was accused of causing a crash that killed a 78-year-old man on Dec. 17 and then fleeing the scene without rendering aid or calling authorities. On Jan. 12, he turned himself in to authorities, was jailed and then released on $151,000 bail, according to police records.
Lafourche (Louisiana) Parish Sheriff's Office records indicated that Lacy was charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run with death and reckless operation of a vehicle. A grand jury was to begin hearing evidence in the case Monday."

Re: NFL Off Topic
I think this draft is going to set some franchises back a bit.
Much of the league still seems willing to draft QBs too early...which can be understandable at times...but the list of Trubisky's and Pickett's and such is overwhelming.
Sanders, Ward, Milroe...I would be very surprised if any of the three had any substantial success in the NFL. There's a chance all three set their respective teams back a good bit.
In a draft with a lot of O/DL talent...someone will be taking a 2nd+ round QB in the first.
Ward seems to have the best skillset of the three.
I would not be happy as a fan if my team drafted any of them on Day 1.
Someone is going to draft Travis Hunter very highly. It won't be a horrible idea, but NFL DB play is not the same as college...technique, preparation both matter at least as much as athleticism...can he provide those if spending time in the WR room? The ideal team would have a solid DBackfield that could allow him room to polish his game and an offense that uses him for handfull of plays...or as a ST weapon.
Given his personal desire to play both O and D...and the much narrower talent/athleticism gap between players in the pros vs college...there's some dicey-ness here.
Dallas seems more and more likely to draft McMillan, the WR out of AZ that doesn't watch game tape. Great height...but seems sluggish in his breaks. At 6'5" 210+, perhaps a move to TE would be a good idea.
As is, Dallas has a bit of a culture issue already, and drafting a WR with some non-pro-level menatlity, when the team has some other pressing needs, probably won't help improve the culture. I don't see Lamb as much of a leader; I'm not sure the combo of the two would be wise. WR is a need, though. Dallas seems to struggle to draft WRs well, though.
I could be wrong on all of this...I do think Hunter stands a decent chance of successAustralian Rules Football...just sayin'Comment

One of the national radio guys said whoever drafts Hunter would be smart to use him primarily as a DB, because it's easier to design packages for him on offense than it would be to use him primarily on offense and sub him in on defense. And that made a lot of sense to my simple mind.Boston Red Sox

Dominique Foxworth said more or less the same thing. Obviously as a DB his thinking is slanted, but his point was that a DB has to prep so much for specific matchups and situations and be reactionary (other than just straight Man), while a WR can just be given a route assignment that doesn't have adjustments. So its easier to have him as a WR in special plays without immediately tipping what they are doing.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

McMillan is obviously never going to be Jameson Williams, he doesn't have that body type. He could very well be Kenny Golliday (the version of Golliday that existed before he signed with the Giants). A lot of folks have been offering a Drake London comparison, I'm not sure that's what I would go with but it's out there and popular.

I'd rather see this experiment with a guy in the teens, and not have so much pressure on him to perform. You want free speech?

Not a fan of Roger talking about Mongo's passing and the Walter Payton award on the pick selection.
Then smiling when they restarted the boos when he picked back up on the actual selection. Maybe I'm offbase but the whole sequence rubbed me the wrong wayComment
