Re: NFL Off Topic
Purdy has yet to say a word about what he wants or expects but the talking heads have run with the "minimum $50m/year". Having said that it isn't that big of a deal, they sign an extension and push the big cap hits a couple years down the road when guys like Trent and Kittle are off the books and the cap has gone up even more by then as well.Comment

Bears sending a 4th to the Chiefs for G Joe Thuney.
Surprised to see the Chiefs make their weakest point weaker, maybe they really will extend Trey Smith after franchising him. Veach going to have to turn water into wine to produce a better line than they had last season - which was really bad. We'll see what draft / FA yields.
With the Bears also acquiring the Rams' G Jonah Jackson, their OL has changed significantly over the last couple days.
The Chicago Bears are expected to trade for Kansas City Chiefs guard Joe Thuney in exchange for a 2026 fourth-round draft pick, per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Good guy getting good money.
Las Vegas Raiders are signing Pro Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to a three-year, $106.5 million extension that includes $91.5 guaranteed, making him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history, per sources.

Re: NFL Off Topic
does that count as a news dump? seems so random, I get reuniting with Carroll, but I mean, idunno
I guess with Seattle having a young coach that can endure a rebuild (unless they like Sam Howell), or maybe Darnold
they're already getting rid of their receivers so... yeah idk, kinda oddWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

You can obviously tell that teams aren't high on this QB class. But, next year's class is Manning, then question marks. There is the LSU QB, Drew Allar who has the tools, but is still potential over substance at this point, and the South Carolina QB Sellors. Beck would have to have a great year to restore his stockComment

Lol. Idk, I don't think Mark Davis wants to clean house that quickly. He wants to just sit back and disappear in the background. Maybe if they win 4 games or less in each of the first two seasons, and there's some genuine dysfunction.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Myles Garrett went from trade request to $40M APY and a no trade clause. Everyone has a price lol
But, for teams like Cincinnati and Dallas, you have to pay your guys before the markets booms. Now Parsons is going to want the same amount. Like waiting with Dak, they had to set the market. Chase is going to want to be highest paid WR. If you know you have those players apart of your future, it's best to pay them asap before you have to set the new market high
Makes trading for Hendrickson something a team have to weigh all their options. Not only would they have to trade a 2nd round pick or more, also would have to give a similar extension as wellComment
