Re: NFL Off Topic
There is no Bengals Raven's thread. But LOL at the Ravens on that Hail Mary.

Re: NFL Off Topic
I'll take a Bengals win any way I can. Gives the Jets a prime spot in the playoffs with the Titans going down, Chargers likely going down, and hopefully the Ravens losing.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I doubt he's unhappy, but I'm sure he wants another shot at a Super Bowl while also leaving PIT on good terms and in better shape with picks coming back their way.
Can't fault him for that. The AFC is tough, and the North seems to have flipped with CIN and (I hesitate...) CLE showing signs of life and PIT down and BAL without guys who made them what we think of them as.
What are some good destinations for him? MIN, JAC... Could be STL though not sure what the financials and opinion on Bradford is.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I take it some of you don't think he could go to a team with a line that can actually block? Or you feel that that is pointless.

Re: Big Ben: he's only played a full 16 game season once, which seems pretty low for someone that's been a franchise qb as long as he has.

Personally, if I were the Steelers if a team came up to me with a ridiculous offer for Big Ben i'd be very tempted to take it because if he keeps getting hit at the rate he is then he's going to be out of the game by 35 or younger.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: NFL Off Topic
I think durability is a HUGE concern for Big Ben. I put him in the cadre of QBs like Steve Bartkowksi, Bert Jones and Neil Lomax who got sacked like crazy and it greatly impacted on their durability and quality of play. Big Ben is bigger than those guys and is probably the most purely talented of the lot (though I think Lomax could give him a run for his money. His issue was more due to an arthritic back than anything else) but he doesn't play the game "smart". We all love that he can extend the play better than most QBs but that just opens himself up to get creamed whether it's with the ball in his hands or just after he releases it. At some point his body is going to break down to the point that he can't be as good as he was early in his career.

However, I think PIT will be too loyal to do that.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
