Shanny should still be in Washington.

I'm not even sure Smith was being serious when he said the Patriots cheated. If I remember correctly it looked like he had a smile on his face the whole time.

think so? After RG3 throwing the coaching staff under the bus, I figured Snyder would side with him for sure

If Snyder does that then he will have thrown away all the "goodwill" he has recouped from the fans by not having his hands in any of the football decisions.

Washington would be dumb to fire Mike Shanahan. I do think his son needs to go. You need that buffer between head coach and the players on offense. The father son dynamic working is a long shot.

What has Shanahan done to earn any equity there? Win 7 games in a row once and win 2 Super Bowls 15 years ago for a different organization?

Someone's head has to roll after this disaster of a season for them.

Yeah thats my argument. Someone is going to have to pay for the mess in washington. Best case scenario is Snyder thinks they rushed RG3 back and allows Shannahan to stay one more year but I dont know if thats good enough.

Well, I want him to finish out his contract at least. Then we'll go from there. Turning around the organization wasn't exactly a zero-degree turn. I'm not taking up for him, but I don't want to go back to flip-flopping around on coaches and entering the coaching carousel every 2 years.

Same scenario here in Houston. I cant see Kubiak staying. I know there is that "Pitty" factor for his stroke but there play has been bad. I was wanting phillips out to but they are still a top 5 defense in terms of yards allowed

If I'm Was I dump Shannahan this season before he ties up the upcoming cap space into players he thinks can save his job next year rather than investing it long term. I feel like he would be willing to tie up all that space in bad deals to save his job in the short term.

The defense was never good but that offense is putrid man and hasn't developed much at all from last year. He had griffin trying to kill himself by blocking and running sneaks when he has a beast running back? The pistol has been figured out and it's like they didn't think that was possible.

Tampa Bay will be needing a coach, too. Schiano is toast.

I think Houston, Tampa, and Washington will be the head coaching vacancies this off-season.

too much backlash for the Owners to keep those Coaches around. Also I believe Blank has stated he will be keeping Mike Smith, and the GM Dmitroff on board; they have a real tight relationship and I think he's already given him a pass for this season.
