Good luck to Cousins. Because that offensive line is ****, and they have been **** all year. His only hope is that on those throws that Griffin was double clutching, Kirk will actually get rid of the ball. If he does the same thing that Griffin was doing he won't look any better. Not saying Griffin isn't to blame here also, but from the center to the right tackle on Washington's Oline they are awful.

I hope this "benching" humbles Griffin. I enjoyed he 7 game run, and could deal with the subway comercials, hell I even watched the self serving Gatoraid special, didn't blame him. If someone offers me money I would probably take it too. That said, I don't want to see or hear from him this off-season. Get to work on refining your craft and get back to being a franchise caliber quarterback (if you can).

I see people can't give praise of a QB without people going overboard with the hyperbole and throwing things out that nobody claimed to have said.

Anyway, as for the other QB situation in DC....all I got to say is: The Curse of Lez Boulet. Happens every year with Washington Area Pro Teams. Get everyone's hope's up only for them to be dashed a year later.

Personally, I see another Ryan Fitzpatrick situation. I think Chicago should hold on to Cutler unless the price tag is too high. At that point, you've gotta make sure the rest of your team is in good shape and hope McCown continues this way and/or a young guy can come in, learn, and take over down the line. I believe Trestman is a great offensive mind and he can maximize McCown and tutor a young QB. But he hasn't had Cutler long enough to maximize him either.
That last sentence is the important part. Everyone says Cutler has potential, and he's actually played really well overall this year, when he's been healthy. I don't see Trestman not given the chance to get the most out of him (which would be more than McCown's ceiling, and worth more than risking the unknown with a rookie).

ALL this and the Mike Shannahan drama continues..Time for Washington to take a step back, new coaching staff and use that high draft pick on either a top O lineman or a wr for RG3

Their top draft pick belongs to St. Louis.

Here's to hoping that the 34th player taken in the draft is an offensive linemen or WR, I suppose.

I like Cousins a lot but man, he's playing in one of the most dysfunctional situations i've seen in a while. I concur with NS1 hopefully this benching humbles RGIII a bit.

Cousins will be okay. I am really looking for him to get the ball out in rhythm and on time. He looked like he could play in the league against Cleveland. This isn't his first time seeing Atlanta.

Looking at the schedule it is possible for him to go 3-0 or 2-1 down the stretch. If that happens I hope the narrative includes that he played against 2 teams with losing records and a Dallas team that could be 7-7 and in the midst if their December swoon.

Read the Josh McCown stuff a few pages back. I can guarantee that won't be the narrative.

Remember how Perrish Cox got signed for Seattle for all of a day? Well he got paid $32,647 for that 24 hour period.

They realized how terrible he actually is and that it wasn't a product of the Buccaneers.
