He's the major problem here. You guys dont need him. Chudz didn't do a bad job. He had no QB but had a emerging runningbacj (thomas) and WR on the verge. There's no way Chud was going to turn that around in a year. Haslam is the problem with sports in general. Everyone is impatient as hell. A call it Madden Syndrome where these guys think they can add a piece here and there and win instantly. Doesn't workrk that way.

Re: NFL Off Topic
I don't get this at all. Reed is a first ballot HOFer. You only get one NFL career as a player. Why hang them up if you are not ready or can still play?
Reed today is probably better than 1/3 of the safeties in the league.

Re: NFL Off Topic
Big fan of Ed Reed. Always has been one of my favorites. If he wants to play, let him play. But he is a scrub now. Wouldn't want him on my team.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I respect him as a player for everything he's done in career and can't wait for the day he's inducted into the HOF, but we all know he's finished and is nothing more than a liability, which he showed at times in Baltimore. It's time for him to call it a career.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
For a league Min..I would maybe understand...The guy was beat several times last year in key one on one situations. Played like garbage for Houston. Dont get me wrong, Houston is the one who forked over a ton of cash thinking he was still playing like he was 28 yrs old. He moved to the Jets where he basically was brought in on Dime packages and was beaten several times there. Saying he is better then 1/3 of the safties today at this point in his career is far fetchedatleast..Its not DelawareComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Well, one team got rid of him because they went with the younger, cheaper player, another team cut him because they thought he was the missing piece for their Defense only to find out that he was a liability and was barely on the field.#RespectTheCultureComment

As long as they keep offering Reed checks, I'm not going to be mad at him for taking them.NFL - Vikings

Re: NFL Off Topic
Then other teams should be the wiser now right?
And won't bother to sign him?
With his knowledge of the game, he should be able to transition into coaching or maybe even broadcasting, so you would think he has options.
Unless he really needs the money.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Why is money being brought up though? I don't think anyone took issue with him taking it. We're talking about his current(declining)game.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Reed is far too loopy to be a serious broadcaster, though I do love the guy.

Re: NFL Off Topic
If teams don't want to sign him because of his declining game, that's fine. But if they keep offering him jobs, I'm not going to blame him for not retiring. Who am I to say he should retire when pro personel people keep offering him jobs?NFL - Vikings
