No comment on you thinking someone from your team not getting the Walter Payton, because I could easily make a case for Russell Wilson.
    WR from the Chargers.

He did have a pretty good year. Keenan Allen. To be fair, he did win the Sporting News Rookie of the Year award. And was the runner up for AP OROTY.

Keenan Allen was great but Lacy ran this team into the playoffs.

You don't think Keenan Allen played a crucial part in the resurgence of Phillip Rivers which also had a little to do with them being back in the playoff picture also?

But seriously I put the difficulty of being a rookie receiver over the difficulty of being a rookie RB in the NFL. However, being a running back in GB has proven to be tough in recent years. Gotta give Lacy credit for doing well there even though AR was on break for half the year.

In other news, Warren Sapp apparently apologized, excessively, for being the biggest player ***** on Michael Strahan getting into the hall of fame.

I grabbed him, and hugged him and wouldn't let him go," Sapp said of his run-in Saturday night with Strahan. "I said, 'please forgive me.
So thats nice I guess. Probably was more willing to apologize since one of his own homies got in the hall as well.

              Yeah ok Sapp.

Because if Strahan doesn't get in, he's still on this whole "RABBLE, RABBLE, RABBLE LOOK AT HIS NUMBERS!!!!" schtick like he was on all week. Dude's such a phony.

Obviously I have a bias, but I don't see how Lacy is a joke of a pick. He's deserving, Allen was probably deserving, you can only pick one guy.

I don't think it was a joke because I could make an argument for him. But I don't think he should've won. The Packers have been successful without a dominant run game. I know ARod was hurt. I'll say them winning was a combination of him getting back and Chicago'/Detroit's awesome choke job. More of the latter.

The Chargers aren't in position to be in the playoffs without Allen. That man made clutch catch after clutch catch. And how many WRs have those kind of years their rookie year?

I probably would've gone with Allen, but I have no problem with Lacy winning it. He's deserving.

Yeah, he made so many plays for us and was a tackling machine. Like Kuechly Lite.

To be fair, I only remember Richardson from the draft. And at least they recognized a guy who may not put up the stats but has a big impact as a DT.

Think I read somewhere that Lacy was the leading rusher in the league after Week 3 or so.

And once Rodgers went down, along with Cobb and Finley, he pretty much became THE Offense and carried it while the Defense started to revert back to its 2011 self. Hell, if we don't have Lacy down the stretch making those clutch runs after clutch runs, then we're not in position to make the playoffs despite Detroit screwing up.

I look at it like this, I don't see how anyone can say either aren't deserving of it.

Lacy Deserved it teams were just stacking the box against the Packers and Lacy still carried them. Lacy Numbers suffered because of this as well.

                            Both Great candidates.
