You'd have a point if Rice was the first NFL player to ever beat his spouse.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Cleveland has apparently already come out and said there isn't a chance in hell they'll allow it. Good effort though. Gordon's only play at this point besides just doing his time off the field would be to try to take the NFL to court and threaten his reinstatement on a chance that he could delay the suspension and play this year.
The Browns are a rival and all but man this kid is so damn talented, it actually pisses me off how he's handling all of this.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Doesn't he have to get approved for reinstatement? Probably not the best idea to take the NFL to court. But he's clearly not the brightest bulb.

Yeah, that's why I think he might end up just deciding to sit it out. If he takes them to court and loses, he's ****ed.NFL: Bills

Re: NFL Off Topic
I really can't believe the players' union allowed rules like this to be put into place by the NFL without any restriction or review whatsoever.
Lifetime ban is also misleading. Nice PR for the league today though.Comment

If anything the appeals officer didn't follow the CBA by only suspending him for the season some are reporting, rather than the full calendar year.Comment

Stole this from the team thread. Between this and seeing what he did for his mom and other thing this kid seems to have a great head on his shoulders.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: NFL Off Topic
CBA is a negotiation, what do they give up just to protect the players stupid enough to use up all their 3+ strikes, which are a fairly extreme minority of the league? I don't get the restrictions or review comment at all, it's all governed by the CBA and an appeals guy that's probably jointly paid by the NFLPA/NFL like conduct reviews.

Re: NFL Off Topic
Greg Hardy's case is interesting, because he was found guilty, but has appealed, and now there won't be any action taken until after this season. He very well may end up with a 6-game suspension, after he plays in a contract year this season.
But a story like that doesn't get any play in the media. Maybe it's because he's not a recognizable name, it's almost certainly also because there isn't a video to go along with it, and call me pessimistic, but I think most people are also just full of ****.Comment
