Hate to hear it. I'll never forget that injury and the shock in his face afterward. It was really disturbing to me.

Hopefully he can live on without any setbacks that keep him from enjoying the rest of his life.

Houston has grass. Its just really bad. But I do find it funny that there is a lot less blow back on their field that there was at FedEx but I digress.

I think its coming. With Ryans tearing ACL's on the same leg, in the same stadium, on the same side of the field is enough to make you stop and think. 8 injuries from non contact is alot. But then again, Houston wont do anything until someone like there JJ Watt is taken out

Honestly, how many actual grass fields are there in the NFL? Washington, KC and Miami?

Quick glance and I counted 13 teams with grass. Some, not all include Denver, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, San Diego, Oakland, GB, Chicago, tenn, and pretty sure Arozona has grass that's actually on planks that can be transported outside of the stadium.

Thanks, just seems that most games I watch the turf is usually that fake grass stuff. I thought it had permeated into the game a lot more than it did. It's good to know that a good chunk of teams play on the real stuff.

Also Carolina Pittsburgh Cleveland Chicago San Diego Tennessee San Fran Arizona and Oakland. Then Green Bay Philadelphia Denver have Natural grass mixed with artificial fibers.

So 12 teams have grass 15 if you include the teams with the mix

I know Denver, Green Bay and Philly all use the same type of thing (I think it's called the Grass Master or something?) They're some of (if not the) only teams to use it in the NFL, but it's what a bunch of the top level sides in England use on their pitches.

It's a small amount of artificial fibers interspersed into the real grass.

Obviously Chicago (tries) to use grass, but I'm pretty sure it's just dead ground they spray paint green before games.

I've always just thought of it as grass on steroids.

                          18 teams have grass:

                          NFC West:
                          San Francisco
                          Arizona

                          NFC North:
                          Green Bay (DD Grassmaster)
Chicago (or that's what they call it)

                          NFC South:
                          Tampa Bay
                          Carolina

                          NFC East:
                          Philadelphia (DD Grassmaster)
                          Washington (Chicago lite)

                          AFC West:
                          Oakland
                          San Diego
                          Kansas City
                          Denver (DD Grassmaster)

                          AFC North:
Pittsburgh (Don't let it rain after HS championships)
                          Cleveland

                          AFC South:
                          Tennessee
                          Jacksonville
                          Houston (Eats ligaments)

                          AFC East:
                          Miami

Fun Fact: Pittsburgh used to have Grassmaster until 09.

Philly gets a lot of play by colleges and HS too. Their field is pretty crummy in the winter too.

The way AZ does is sick. You can roll it in and outside anytime you want so it gets sun while keeping the dome affect. Best of both worlds. it's also helpful when monster truck season rolls around or any other event and no one will **** with the grass.
