    Re: NFL Off Topic

Watching at Wild Wings today and, at one point, Kap, Alex and Shaun Hill were all on a TV at the same time. And all I could think about is: Where's Rattay and Dorsey?

Feds, DEA search several teams following today's games for illegal prescription drugs. Interesting to see what comes from this.

Think I saw a tweet that it had to do with visiting teams and drugs doctors declare crossing state lines.

Ohhhh man....if there's fire to this than the NFL is SCREWED again!

From what Mestevo said it sounds similar to the Boogaard thing in the NHL. While he was playing he'd get a crap ton of prescription pills from other team's doctors and would buy them willy nilly. It was a large factor in how he kept stonewalling the NHL about going back to rehab and eventually led to his death.

This seems slightly different but if you have doctors abusing their power allowing players/teams to cross state lines with illegal drugs or whatnot than the real seamy underbelly of football is going to be exposed for what it is. I think we can all agree that we KNOW these things happen but we put our heads in the sand until it all comes out in public.

Which is pretty pathetic how we as a society have turned into this disgusting group of gang members who sit around and say and do nothing about things that are apparently "strongly against our beliefs" knowing that they're happening and then as soon as it's out in the public, then suddenly people wanna stand on soapboxes and pound their chests about their moral outrage and **** all over the people busted for this stuff. Then that doesn't even touch on how some of these people are guilty of the exact stuff they crucify these people for but are comfortable throwing stones with their dirt tucked safely away.

Interesting. RG3 is being blasted for what some are calling a "Knife in the back" comment after yesterdays game where he amde the comment"One person cant do it by themselves".

Now Deshaun jackson has tweeted " Cant do epic **** with basic people"!

Actually DJax can point fingers with a clear conscious imo... he just shouldn't.

He's had a great season so far, impressive considering the QB carrousel, horrible offensive line, new offense and other options in the passing game (that aren't living up to their projections). He also came into a new lockeroom with the stigma of being a problem child and decided to be a leader and attempt to rally the troops. I can't say one bad thing about DJax this year... but that tweet knocks some of the shine off of him. If that's the approach he'll take going forward he'll slowly get the rep back that he had in Philly.

Other than that, RG3 and anyone else on that team really needs to STFU.

I don't think RG3 was saying he's the one guy and he needs help. I think he meant that they all needed to play together.

The media is going to twist and construe his words to fit the narrative of the Redskins season. Same for Jackson.

What I'm getting from reading the full comments is that they all need to play together and better to get where they want to be.

Isn't that something a player on a 3-7 team should say? Besides nothing at all, I'd want them to own up to their play. RG3 hasn't done much yet, so I kind of doubt he's propping himself up. I think the media or whomever is just cherry picking easy targets.
